does this bother anyone else?

ever since I've gotten more fluent at beatmatching and being able to distinguish between sounds I've started to get more and more irritated when I hear things out of sync. even every day sounds, like for instance the turn signal beep and a song playing on the radio at the same time. it's gotten so bad that I can't even stand to listen to two songs that are completely out of sync, I have to either stop them or fix it. just wondering if anyone else gets bothered by these things?

its just you...you crazy bastard

j/k

im kinda like that...well when im driving and get in a turn lane, i try and match my turn signal with the person in front of me. and some other weird shiet like that

Posted by mndeg on Jul-19-2005 22:40:

ever noticed with even the exact same car...they never really stay matched? they'll eventually blink at the same time, but then they start to drift. awlk;asdl;fkas;ldkf...that really bothers me.

Posted by Briden on Jul-19-2005 22:56:

I am also a turn signal matcher, i think every DJ does that.

Posted by dj chex on Jul-19-2005 23:04:

i seccond that. same thing with crosswalk lights when the blink, and school zone speed signs too. It's really crazy. It kind of reminds me of that volkswagon ad a few years ago.

Posted by Audigy7 on Jul-19-2005 23:20:

Whenever I walk with someone, I have to sync up our steps. That sound of footsteps out of sync is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. So yah, I know what ya mean.

Posted by Sleet on Jul-20-2005 00:30:

haha turn signal matching is something i do too

Posted by Cosmic Realm on Jul-20-2005 00:42:

yeah i do that too,
but i think we all are that way...

mmmhmm. I know EXACTLY what you mean. drives me absolutely nuts

i have a friend who is just OCD with this shit. it got to apoitn where he was spinning on 3 decks. his last track is playing. he removes the non-playing vinyls from their decks, but both decks are still spinning. all 3 decks had stanton slipmats, those black with yellow ones, which are a swirl.

he actually spent the time whilst his last track finished playing by trying to 'beatmatch the slipmats'.

Posted by Timski on Jul-20-2005 08:32:

Yeah i guess its not just me that does this then... I thaught i was somewhat alone considering ive done the turn signal and footstep thing all my life... ahhh good fun... cant say ive ever tryed to match my slipmats tho

what has REALLY fucked me off for years, is when you go to a theatre or a show, and the audience start clapping in time with some part (always happens normally near the end) or even at a circus or something daft.

People are such RETARDS they cant even clap a simple beat in time, and you end up with one huge stadium sized trainwreck.

Has wound me up since i was in my early teens.

It official- people are stupid

LOL i hate that 2
they start clapping to a beat and then it goes out of time so they just clap as if they were aplausing(spelling) someone rather then with the beat
same with the countdown to anything
like on game shows n stuff, the crowd never counts down the same time as its actually counting

Posted by Tranc3 on Jul-20-2005 19:05:

Agreed on the crowd clapping thing.

One thing I do is push the button on the emergency brake, the one you push down to release it and allow you to drive forward. My thumb gets tired pretty quickly though if I'm listening to DnB.

move your finger on your mouse while on the computer and listening to music (move to the beat...)
drive an automatic, so my left leg is always moving to the beat while driving

or the fingers hitting the sterring wheel to the beat while driving...

there's probably more...but not enough time

hehe, im always the guy in the crowd that tries to screw everybody over by throwing in random claps here and there causing major confusion. the best is when people turn around and just stare at you. its fucking beautiful!

Posted by Bass Camp on Jul-21-2005 20:23:

This thread is freaking hilarious and all you guys are crazy. lol.
I never thought about signal matching till i read this. Now everytime I am on the road, I will be thinking about it. thanks a lot.

Do you guys get bothered by pop corn in the microwave that they are not evenly popped?

Posted by Omega_Blue on Jul-21-2005 21:03:

along with the turn signals, anyone do this with the windshield wipers too?

that's funny, i've done that before with my numark slipmats, cueing them up just like a vinyl and letting them go at the same time

Posted by phyrrus on Jul-21-2005 21:48:

i finally did it! today in the car i matched my turn signal with the song clocks! oh how glorious it was

Posted by colombian raver on Jul-21-2005 22:16:

What I hate is when people look at an animated picture for someones avatar or signature and are all like "Hey it matches perfectly to so and so song!" NO IT FUCKING DOSN'T! ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE! JUST CAUSE IT DOES FOR A FEW SECONDS DOSNT MEAN ITS PERFECTLY MATCHED!

I also try to match my turn signal with others
