Confusion: Avalon

I searched for it but someone said earlier that it's not working too well so...

Avalon's site has a few events listed but Velvet List and Night Club VIP all promote this weekends party as the last one. One of my friends who promotes and wanted to throw a party for Avalon was told he has no time since they're closing down/being bought out or something...Anyone know anything about this? Sorry if i missed a previous thread or something.

This is the last weekend it's open.

Thurs. June 21st - CARNIVALE

Fri. July 22nd - TONY DRAPER & CHRIS ASTA

Sat. July 23rd - SCOT PROJECT

Fri. July 29th - JONATHAN PETERS


29th is next weekend though?

The 23rd is the last night.....there for JP is not happening.

Wouldn't care if it did. Hmm, is this friday/sat going to be like a grand finale? Free drinks and shit lol?

Draper's the opening DJ on Fridays, Eddie opens on most Saturdays.

BTW, does anyone know if Eddie is going to Spirit with the rest of the Avalon people. I've seen him a few times and thought he was pretty good.

I don't want to back this kid up or anything, but Filter 14 didn't charge a cent for drinks at their closing party. It is nice, though, since you tip the bartenders well, as they'll be soon out of a job.

Because a shit load of places do that on the last night to invite more ppl to suck the profits up, they increase the door charge and give out a couple of drink tickets, which aren't a problem to get either way.

but its avalon, its not gonna happen, not enough people are gonna go

Hmmm got a point there, though i've seen a 90 year old man there lol. Don't underestimate the fake ID thing either. Pregame is always the best if you wanna get drunk though no matter what age.

it wasn't meant to be offensive or anything if that's what you think. i don't know how else to call an asian person that sleeps and every two minutes just wakes up hops around and goes back to sleep, or a 90 year old man who comes in tap-dancing shoes

Alternatively, there's always hiphop.
Just think of them as a test of your true will of being a trance/house fan. If you really love the music, you'll only see the DJ.

Last night they had a big "Avalon is not closing" sign outside
