PACHA NYC!!!!
well here it is...the old west side venue formerly known as sound factory will BE replaced with pacha!
Eddie Dean (who owns Discotheque) will replace the Sound Factory with Pacha, his new event space and nightclub, at the end of this summer. Designed by Icrave Design Studio (the company behind the looks of Crobar, Aer Lounge, Dorsia, and Koi), the venue has 30,000 square feet on three levels with full audiovisual capabilities including T1 lines, and will hold as many as 2,000 people. Scheduled to open in September, the club's proposed layout has room for 350 people on the lower level, a dance floor on the main level with room for 1,200, a mezzanine overlooking the dance floor, a second floor that holds 375, and a third-floor lounge for 400.
gear up boys and girls..we are ready to bless a new dance floor in this lovely city that is NYC!!!!

Taste Great Less Filling
damn great fuckin news...thanks indy!
Guess this is to make up for the loss of Avalon?
I am personally pretty excited...
Can't fucking wait to see what the old Factory looks like inside!!
Probably the same as it did...
Okay... can this place have a cool decor inside? Something new and innovative. Dope lighting is prefered. Lazers would also be nice. Everyone's always trying to be different, but just end up doing the same damn thing.
I LIIIIIIKE
sounds awesome, can't wait
sikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!111

seriously nyc needs a superclub. i'd like to see them pull it off but we'll see.
great news
hmm well i guess Pacha is DEFINITELY going to look VERY different from Sound Factory altogether.
im just hoping that they utilize space to its potential. so its 1,200 ppl on the main floor eh? i cant seem to picture it in my head right now, i need a comparison of some sort. how is that estimate as compared to CroBAR or Spirit? cuz it always seems to be a LOT less space once u actually go to the place. Spirit is sposed to have madd sq footage but then they chopped it up into many rooms so there went the space
btw how big was the main floor in Sound Factory? as compared to Roxy/Crobar I never got to go there. it was sposed to be huge, right?
hmm i guess it may be too much to HOPE that this club is just all edm. wouldnt that be awesome? each floor catering to a different genre of edm...breaks, house, trance, etc.

blah all these import clubs... crobar, avalon, pacha etc..nothing is homegrown anymore nyc is losing its identity...
like tae, i'm skeptical.. not only bc nyc is losing its identity with all these McClubs comin around but also bc pacha's signature is the 'glitz & glamour' fuck-in-the-back-of-a-limo-with-champagne crowd...

Im not gonna go all crazy about this. Im gonna have to agree with Brian, I think its just a big hype for something that might not be all that amazing. Look, if Morillo is gonna be a resident and he can pack the Crobar main floor (like a sardine can) can you imagine whats gonna happen in a club half the size?
