Is furniture from the Brick any good?

Unlike Ikea's website, they dont tell you what their type of wood their items are made from. I need a good entertainment system, preferably one with storage (the more the better). I'm not really digging the ones from Ikea either.
To top it off, it sounds like we'll need to rearrange the room just to fit it in. Ugh!

that black couch i had a your place for a while was frm the brick, seems alright, and most of there furniture seems to be a - ok.

nat, i had bought my sofa from there 3 yrs back from the brick , is absolute crap.. i dont know about their entertainment system, i have a tv stand from ikea, works well enough for me.

I cannot tell you about their furniture, but beware of their sales people. Very pushy. They will try and get you to buy an entire living room set, even though you are only in there for 1 piece of furniture.

They will throw financing gab at you, and lots of figures, i was not impressed.

That kind of behaviour from a commission based sales person is unheard of!

The nerve of them!

I usually tell them to leave me alone. I say, you'll get your commission, on what I need to buy, but that's it, and I don't want your help either.

The Brick does not manufacture any of their own furniture.

Thus the quality is dependent on the brand you buy (at The Brick and otherwise).

haha, i know iknow. it just seemed overly excessive at the brick, and thats why i commented. I expect that anywhere, but it was just over the top. To the point where they just start wasting your time.

You're getting exactly what you're paying for... they have some excellent quality stuff, but its more expensive and they have really cheap stuff which would fill an entire condo for 2000$.

I'm actually shopping furniture to fill a whole condo and the brick is ok, always be very bland about the price you want to pay, they have high margins on wooden furniture so don't be affraid to push the salesperson. Also, if you want to pay immidietly (no financing) you can easily get a 15% rebate off right away... so don't hesitate heckling with them.

i've good experience with brick..have bought alot of stuff from there with no problems what so ever...they have very "neat" things with a very reasonable price..

i've bought stuff like fridge, stove, dish washer, a small table (4 chairs) some seats, TV set and some other stuff which i dont remember...
they're all great...even delivery time was perfect..

Ended up back at Ikea. Just as I was about to settle for a tv stand I really didnt care for, spotted a nice chest of drawers thats doing the trick. Has 2 large, wide drawers, perfect for storing all those video tapes in a row, where u can see all the labels.
Only problem with Ikea stuff is decifering their instruction manuals. You need a university degree in reading bad diagrams!! STRESS~~~!!! lol.

I spent about 4 days (non-stop) trying to put together my entire condo contents (bought everything @ iKEA).

I do like minimal furniture... but I don't know how you can furnish a whole house in Ikea... I just can't imagine. Most of their stuff looks good and are fun, but to actually live with them... i don't know
