Thought they had it for a sec then boom out shocked when the Rangers went earlier thought they would've gotten him 4 SURE!

But him goin to Pitt is good for 2 reasons.

Pittsburgh is a good hockey town but they need a good stadium. They really were in limbo of getting a new one for many reasons. This now may push them over the top to get a new stadium and make this franchise a bit more stable.

First Super Mario now Crosby.....

Nah, Pittsburgh is a better choice than fucking Anaheim. Blah to them.

I would have liked to see Crosby's and his family's reaction when Montreal got #5. Probably a resounding "FUCK!". They're all die hard Montreal fans. At least Toronto, the Bruins or the Red Wings didn't get him, as well as all the pathetic southern teams.

LOL yeah agree on all points.

Crosby must have been on cloud 9 before that 5th envelope!

Still, if Pittsburgh don't build a new arena, this could be just a big farce to delay the inevitable. It will take a few seasons for Crosby to learn and eventually take over the team. Mario will be long, loooooooong gone by then.

He could reach his mid 20s and still not be on a contender and just in time for free agency...to his desired place. Yeah, i'm full of fantasy bullshit.

Didnt even notice it. Got my season tix for the Isles today on the phone!!! Was the 4th person to reserve them for this year according to Mike the guy on the phone with me lol. Not a good sign especially since the Isles are one of the teams that sells out everygame, and are in the tri-state area maybe the biggest hockey places south of canada.

Flyers bought out Amonte and LeClair

The Leafs cut their ticket prices by an overall average of about 5% for this season and will keep the freeze in place through 06-07 as well. The higher end seats (golds I think...never been to the ACC) are still in the 180 range, but the purples (nose bleeds) have been dropped from 55 bucks to 35 Canadian...not too bad for Maple Laugh fans I guess. Now let's see how much Sabre tickets will cost for my two trips when Montreal is in town.

I got front row season tickets in the Nassau Colliseum this year! They cost me only 2200USD/per seat for the enitre season with the first round of the playoffs included in that deal granted they make the playoffs. Next year they are going to slash prices for season tix again 5% and then the year after keep them the same. Got lucky for front row because no one has purchased them like I said I was like the second guy to order/renew.

BTW me and my friend are getting soooo wasted every game.
