2005.09.03. End of Summer BBQ v. 3.0
The 3rd annual installment of the End of Summer BBQ & international TA convention. Potluck BBQ. Keggers. DJ talent a-plenty. Live broadcast. Port-o-potties. Fun times all around...
When: Sat. Sept. 3, 2-11pm
Venue: our backyard at 210 Langley Ave, Toronto- 1 block north of the No-Frills at Carlaw & Gerrard. **To save parking on our streets for the neighbors, please park on Riverdale St., the school's parking lot accessed from Riverdale St. (< follow the walkway to Langley), or the No Frill's parking lot (near the gas bar). If you're coming by subway, get off at Pape & take the 72 bus down- ask the driver to drop you off at Carlaw & Langley.
What to bring: (I will supply all the hot dog & hamburger buns, ketchup & mustard, plates & plasticware, so don't bring those)
-Burgers or hot dogs, a side dish, cheese, chips, a snack, a dessert, juice, pop, alcohol, or ice. We are within a 5 min. walk from a grocery store, LCBO & Beer Store, should you need anything.
***Frank is basically supplying the party with a small farm's worth of meat products but he wont arrive til 4:30 or 5pm, so unless u want a burger or hot dog, we'll have everything else.
What he's bringing:
-30 kilos of beef striploin steaks (approx. 80 steaks)
-11 kilos of chicken wings
-2 value club packs of skinless boneless chicken breasts
-2 strips of pork side ribs
-A good attitude, and like-minded people only.
-Something warm to wear in the evening- its gonna get chilly... (11 degrees!)
-$5 minimum donation- keep in mind we are getting TWO KEGS, renting music gear, tables & chairs, an industrial grill, and high-end port-a-loo's for your enjoyment- it's a small price to pay.
Set Times:
2-3:30- Rabbitjoker- choons!
3:30-5- Jon Jon- sunset house
5-6:30- Frankie Madgenta (Montreal)- electro house
6:30-8- Gamma vs. Kevin Harcourt- tribal and tech house
8-8:30- Upgrade (nusty)- live trance PA
8:30-9:30- Nu-Era- psytrance
9:30-11- Mobius- trance & techno
All directions to 210 Langley Ave. are listed below- don't PM me please. And remember, please park in the blue areas on the map.
By Subway:
get off at Pape Station- U can take the Pape Bus (#72) down Pape, it makes a right turn at Riverdale, and a left on Carlaw- get off at that 1st stop there, and turn left at the crosswalk at Langley St. There's a variety store at the corner as a landmark.
By streetcar:
Take the College St. streetcar east. When Carlton hits Parliament, it turns right, then left onto Gerrard. Cross over the Don Valley. Have the driver drop u off at Carlaw (by the No Frills). Walk north on Carlaw past the gas station, and turn right on Langley.
By car, for all out of towners coming from the west:
Take the QEW to the Gardiner Expressway East. Stay on the Gardiner past the Jarvis exit. Stay in your right lanes- follow the signs to the 'end of the highway' / Lake Shore Blvd. At end of the highways off ramp, u will want to be in the left lane so that u turn left at that light onto Carlaw. Go north, thru 4 traffic lights. U will see the No Frills on your right. Our street is the next right turn.
By car, for all out of towners coming from the north/ east:
Take the Don Valley Parkway South til the Bloor/Bayview exit. Follow signs to Bloor St. (the exit is a little windy). At the light at Bloor St. turn LEFT (due east). Cross the bridge (follow the speed limit here- 50 kmh- sometimes cops have a speed trap on the other side). The street changes name to Danforth Ave. Continue a few traffic lights til u get to Pape Ave. and turn RIGHT. Follow Pape all the way down til the stop sign at Riverdale Ave and turn RIGHT. The school parking lot will be on your left & u can park in there. If full, refer to the map for additional parking areas, indicated in blue.
Plenty of parking in the blue areas:
**As an added bonus, the entire party will be broadcast on ETN.fm (thank you, Chris!) as the pre-Labour of Love warmup.
Sept. 3 also marks Sean's (nasean3) birthday, and this will also be a 'going away' party of sorts for Darren (Spankmeister), who is trading in his mailing address in Ann Arbor, MI for a better one in Miami, FL! (< I guess he liked Pizza Rustica even more than I did 
).

I missed this last year since I was in MTL, but I will definately be checking it out this year!

I was there last year...if I recall correctly there was the MACK DADDY porta johns...with motion detected lights coming on and everything!

Looks like all you TOTA's might have an AUTA in your midst at this. Seems like a good way to meet some fellow trance heads in the GTA, and find some people to party with whilst I'm out your way.

P.S. I'm so happy that this is going to be a kosher event! LOL!!! Nat, let me know if you'd like me to bring some halaal/kosher meats! Not that it matters to me tho...good ol' fashioned Canadian Black Angus suits me fine!
