Smiley DJ Electronic Music Society @ York University.

Okay guys, here is an update:

The Tim Hortons meet was a bust, apparently the Tim Hortons Peter (streamline) thought existed, actually doesn't. And Sonja ran into some problems which pushed her back a bit, and ended up being too late for the 8-9 meet up. Appologies around the board from everyone working hard to make things happen. But this doesn't discourage the fine hard working staff trying to bring some Electronic Music Awareness to the York Campus.

Anyways, what do I have to do with all this? Well, if anyone here hasn't already made it down to the Guv. and hasn't met up with Peter by now under the DJ booth (the back up/ 2nd place to meet) than it is my job to inform you all (who are York U students interested in being apart of this) to e-mail me your Student I.D # and name. Every name really does count and help. This organization has already gotten much appreciated help and aid from wonderful people and we can't wait to make it official so we can pass on the benefits to the members as well. We're working hard so we can enjoy the club as much as we promise to make it enjoyable for the members.

So e-mail me at [email protected] for those interested.

We really need this, and we appologize a thousands times over for the horrible mix up with Tim Hortons for those who went down early expecting a place to meet.

I'll be in touch with everyone who emails me for updates and such.

Thanks alot TranceAddicts.

U guys should have some serious screening for this. Membership wise... cause c'mon it's YORK...u're gonna have Gino's & Gina's (who listen to Tiesto on z103 and think they know .."TECHNO" haha) gallore wanting to be part of it. It's good to spread the word.. makes the scene larger.. and overall somewhat helps the cause..(speakig from a dj's POV).. but they also bring their CLUB/SNOB attitudes with them. Not the friendly raver kind. They need direction...a helping hand perhaps to develop a more friendlier/unposhy attitude.

We plan to take out 103.5 one iPod at a time. Our plan:

Peter and I have already solved the Z103.5-disfunction. He got an iTrip for his iPod and it works wonders, we tested it while driving, it gets good distance, we were in seperate cars and we figure it's about a 50-70 meter radius it has. So if I get an iTrip, and push some more true dance/trance addicts to do so...in theory, when we drive home from school during our time there, let's just say the drive home at 5 from z103 to all those posers on Keele and Jane going home, won't be listening to interupted crap-hop, we'll control them. You'll see. And they'll love it too

This is an entirely seperate crusade any TA can join our fight. Just set the iTrip to work on FM 103.5 and it interupts all signals with in the 50 - 70 meter radius. It however doesn't work too well in Toronto, it is ver isolated to the car it self down there, but it does make interferance for the station...which is better than listening to Danny D, Chris Bigs, or that god awful Scott Fox, Melony and Dave....-throws up-.

"EDM" homeboy heroes can stay home in their momma's basement.

Yes it'd be nice to have a huge girl to guy ratio, for everyone else, to me it doesn't matter I'm in a commited, loving relationshit.

So more for everyone else!
