V for Vendetta

View Trailer
Natalie Portman .... Evey Hammond
Hugo Weaving .... V

In a story where Germany won a future World War and Great Britain is now a fascist state, a freedom fighter known as V (Weaving) uses terrorist tactics to fight the oppressive society. He rescues a young woman (Portman) from the secret police, and she becomes his unlikely ally.
Remember, remember, the fifth of November, gunpowder treason and plot. I see no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot

I'm fairly certain this was a comic book that is a few decades old and has been made simply to cash in on the comic book movie craze.

Oh...and it's fantasy romp. I wouldn't worry about it....kinda like Zorro if you ask me.

Be Cool!

FUCKING AWESOME MOVIE!

We rented it last night, watched it at 12:30 and simply couldn't go to bed before it was over, even though, as usual, I had to work at 9 the next morning.

FUCKING BRILLIANT!

Such a captivating movie. It really draws you in and fascinates your mind.

Watched it again tonight. Just as brilliant. I absolutely LOVE this movie. It's so remarkable. I need to go out and purchase it as soon as I'm able.

Check it out. I really regret passing up seeing this movie back when it came out! What a fucking mistake not seeing this film on the big screen!

Ouch.

Natalie Portman came into the restaurant I use to work at not too long after the movie was released in theatres. She had all vegeterian side dishes and is really really short. She is fluent in Hebrew and had a long conversation with one of our food runners in that language. Pretty cool actually...

Really cute

what makes her even hotter is the fact that she goes/went to harvard. nothing like a hottie with brains.

V for Vendetta is a great movie. I liked the storyline and casting Hugo Weaving as V was a very good choice.

I loved the way he spoke, and the way he'd move his head when speaking... since his lips or eyes or other facial expressions dont move, they used the way he held, moved, tilted his head to compensate, to give a semblance of the qualities he was unable to display because of the static, unchanging mask he wore which shielded any and all of his facial expressions... found it very interesting to watch/study.

And the modulation and articulation of his voice, and the manner in which he spoke... LOVED IT!

Great voice for the part. I was so impressed w/ this fucking movie!

Funny, because as watching this movie, so many of the values V believes in and is fighting for are SPOT ON the same values for life that are espoused in my favourite fantasy series by Terry Goodkind "The Sword of Truth". Funnily enough, I'm reading the 11th book right now in that series which just came out in hardback.

I can't believe how similar the core values for life are (and the extreme actions needed to be taken to preserve such values)

Just one more aspect that made me love this movie, how much it reminded of me the ideas expressed in my favourite fantasy series of novels!

I met Nathlaie Portman in Yorkville the day b4 my birthday and she made me all shaky and nervous!
