Overwhelming Dancefloor Experiences
haha i guess this is kinda like pvdobsession's "best club experience" thread, but i wanted to go a lil deeper.. i remember a while ago watching pvd spin (the first time i saw him) at roxy a few years back and i had a friend of mine with me.. well there was a track that was played that was very melodic and tingy to me i just had my eyes closed the whole time and had both hands in the air, i could honestly feel the beat running through my legs and had me in a 'trance' i opened up my eyes and look over at my friend who actually had a tear comming down her cheek she was so moved by the whole experience.. have any of you ever had this ie. where you just close your eyes, hands up, bass pumpin, the crowd jumpin all over the place, and just totally out of your head? im sure you all have hahah but i just wanted to point out and ask if any track has ever touched you that emotionally. (where in those small 8 minutes or however long the track is, youre set free)

Absolutely everything about Sander's set @ Labour of Love 2004. Fucked up foot and all, I danced my ass off to an extent I have yet to repeat, on top of which - I sprained my ankle further at the end of his set into Deep Dish.
Honestly, it was so good, I took my fucked up foot back to the hotel room to ice and study because there was nothing that was gonna top that.
Geez, I remember being so rediculously hyped before we got there, Indy asked me if I was on tina.

bladdy u can dance?
probably Markus' set @ Spin last WMC.
he played No One on Earth (G&D Mix), and idk if it was the indescribable heat, or it was the perfect moment for the tune or what, but i just started crying -flat out sobbing- uncontrollably thru the entire tune while singing along.

June 10th of this year when Armin finally came out at 3am. Absolutely brilliant how he opened and closed his set and everything inbetween. I danced, nonstop.

When Armin played As The Rush Comes at Glow, the last night we ever saw our friend Chayanne before he went back to Pakistan. That song came on and we all put our arms around each other and made a big circle and i remember a lot of us were crying.
And when armin dropped Burned With Desire at Roxy, it was one of my favorite songs and it was the first time i ever heard it played in a club, and something about that song played loud just gets me emotional.
Back when Space in philly was still open, X-dream put on his last song of the night, one of favorites... Tucan - Light a Rainbow. There's a part where the song pauses, and Mass stopped the music, grabbed the mike, and demanded that every single person in the club get up and dance, or else he wasnt going to turn back on the music. He waited until every single person got up off the couches, got up from wherever they were, and then the music started again, and it was where the girl was singing acapella. I will never forget the vibe in that place that night when the beat came pounding in again and the entire place was dancing their hearts out for the last couple minutes. It was such a rush.

PvD dropping the original version of Mindcircus in 4-15-05 was up there for me.
It was at the end of a long night in which I had already taken my drunk-as-shit girlfriend home around 3 after she couldn't keep herself standing anymore. She had proceeded to yell and scream at me in the club, causing a few women to join her in yelling at me because they thought I was trying to take advantage of her. After explaining that I was her boyfriend and that I was taking her home and them watching her buckle her knees repeatedly, they went back to minding their own business. Anyhow, I took her home, made sure she was OK, put her to bed under her friend's care (who was staying with her for the weekend and had returned at 4 from barhopping), gave her water, and went back to Crobar at 4:30 to get her jacket, as she couldn't find the coat check ticket until she got undressed. When I got there, I decided to stick around and try to make the best of the evening as I was pretty pissed at this point and completely sobered up. Anyhow, after enjoying PvD's amazing set, he dropped Mindcircus as an encore. It was a track that I hadn't expected to hear again in a club(though Armin dropped the G&D mix in June), and for the way I was feeling at the time, the lyrics were right on point.
well, i try and keep my crying in clubs down to a minimum, but I remember being absolutely floored the night PVD opened up Roxy with the Intro Mix of Cristalle. Pretty much the whole night was like that.
Another ridiculous memory was a night Armin played at Roxy a couple of years ago when he dropped Trancesetters - The Saga. Hearing that nasty bassline drop in that place was unreal.
nye 2005 o'bir drops xpander... everyone's freaking out as the countdown goes on... then later in the night i turn around and there are these dancers in all white with huge white wings on the platforms... i was hypnotized for minutes ... just dug that video up actually... gettin shivers down my spine right now!!
well since this thread quickly turned to when have u shed a tear when u heard a track thread, then for me i would have to say the first time i saw PvD was @ Summerstage 2003, when he played For an Angel
it was so amazing, plus the whole vibe of the party and the lasers all over the place was so sick
this thread is giving me goosebumps just by reading.
One of mine would be also at the last WMC with Markus Schulz at Armada night, when he played No One On Earth [g&d remix]. It was so damn hot in there due to no air conditioning, but I still got the chills seeing the crowd go absolutely nuts. At the time I hadnt heard that track live in many months.
and how could i forget....
at Tiesto in Concert 2005 in holland, when tiesto dropped "Southern Sun" during his last hour, and tens of thousands of people suddenly got a new burst of energy and all of a sudden a thousand happy memories flooded my head...

magik muzik WMC 2004... most amazing nite ever
the first time i went to ny it was to see pvd at soundfactory back in '02. that was the night he became my favorite dj when he played a 6-7 hr. set. i was on the bottom floor on one corner of the dance floor w/all my friends and he was dropping some of the most bangin' tunes i'd ever heard. i'll never forget because the lights were timed w/the drops and u could look around and see everyone jump up and down in unison like it was choreographed. by the way i also got goosebumps reading this thread
.
Another one was NYE 2004 - Sasha @ Avalon. Shortly after the ball dropped Sasha dropped Amber - Anytime (Steve Porter Remix) Was one of my favorite tracks at the time.....they actually had the system sweaked just perfect that night....the way that track moved throught that club was amazing.....perfection.
