When it comes to panning theres not much that can be done.
Panning:
- Left>Right
- Right>Left
- Round panning
Nevertheless post some songs that have the most awesome panning youve ever heard.

i guess to answer your questions BT - Mercury And Solace pans in the background. It doesnt jump out at you but has a nice touch in a the background.
