I work in the LaCoste shop in Glasgow. The label is quite different here, as its mostly chavs that wear it, especially the tracksuits!! However, we do get the posh folk in who have a lot of money. Some nice clothes but nothing I would ever wear

I went to a school of somewhat mixed economic backgrounds (mostly middle class).

As early as grade 4 there was social pressure to differentiate between the have and the have nots. This was made manifest in t-shirts.

Where the seperating line in grade 4 was if you could afford any shirts that featured the Lacoste Aligator or the Ralph Lauren Polo guy.

My mom got me 2 Polo guy's

Brooooooo Lacoste is sooo freaking old.. I dont know here in the US, but atleast in Chile ( where I lived before I moved here ).. everyone wore Lacoste, that was soo my dad cloth seriously lol.. back in the 60's, 70's ? damm my granpa was surprised to see the brand here everywhere and worned out by everyone hehe.. besides, they werent that expensive ( 90 bucks is rediculous just for a logo ).. they are nice shirts I must admit..I just find it funny that today a brand of the yesterday, once seen as uncool.. is worned out and labelled as a Hyp thing.. same goes to Puma.. I was so "uncool" when I came with my Puma shoes and everyone was into Nike's.. hehe.. there goes the fashion and trends .. it just bothers me how people jump into banwagons!.. if you like something stick to it and like it.. I dont even want to get into DIESEL subject lol.. other then that, Lacoste has always been the nice way of dressing shirt, I dont know why today there's all the Lacoste snooze though

PS: When you get to see the Gangstas wearing Lacoste, its because theres something seriously wrong going on!

well fecking said. i was just going to stick with my meh, but i remember when i was younger you could find lacoste shirts at jc penny or something like that, and they were freaking cheap. of course we are talking about 10-15 years ago.
prob around 30 something dollars.
it seems like all they have to do is jack up the price and all these pretentious fools can't seem to keep theirs hands off. if your are going to do something at least don't be the freaking last to follow a trend. 2 years ago lacoste started to pick up in popularity. once the rappers are wearing it/doing it. the fad is at its end
