I dont blame you. What I think it is with a lot of people is that they dont hate them at all. It is just that people that got into trance by these guys look up to them so much. So then it is more like a disappointment than a hating type of thing. I dont hate them or disrespect them, but I do think that they make and spin shit music now. Even though I think this, I don't disrespect them for what they have done in the past.

They both had their day! Not everyone stays in the spot light. I loved em back when they were dropping sick sets and I went crazy when I saw oakenfold for the first time.
Tiesto seriously was the best dj around, he was the poster child for trance! We all liked him so much, and put him on a pedistal, but once he got up there, we all hated on him because he had become so popular!! and we (not TA but fans in general) were the ones that put him there!
Christ does anyone see where that's a tad messed up? 
Yeah and plus it very hard to enjoy a Tiesto show well here in the US because eveywhere he goes its packed and never fun 
Goddamm people go only to see him and his looks and trust me some of the people I talked there where big fakes. Like once example these two bitches are behind and they were like this Tiesto guy plays some good hip-hop when I heard that I was like you 2 leave theres nothing of hip-hop going on. Awful I say

I think a lot of the stuff he does now isn't nearly as good as his old stuff, but yeah, I respect him as well. Besides, not ALL of his new stuff is total bs.
never been the biggest fan/listener of oakie but i like some of his tunes, as for tiesto i used to be a big fan...i still am but not the dj tiesto the music producer

I respect the determination by the thread starter, but unfortunately this retarded battle will not be won by a band of people tired of it. The only way people can quit whining about Tijs or Oakie is by Oakie retiring, (which is soon happening after NYE this year) and Tijs getting knocked from the #1 spot. I'm definately not voting him #1 this year even though i'm a hardcore fan. Personally I think 4 other djs have blown his ass out of the water this year. That doesn't mean hes commercial Ti$stor though. To all you bashing fags, please, do me a favor, and DO NOT vote him #1 this year.

i heard one of the reasons he is disliked is his shows are just "lighting effects" and doesnt focus on the music.
ive never been to one of his events so i wouldnt know.
but if i were ...
1. id be drinking
2. would be very into lighting effects
3. wouldnt pay much attention to the tunes.
