Aria's Trance line-up for Winter 2001

18th of January : Guy Ornadel from the UK (Resident @ Slinky right now , plays often @ Gatecrasher , highly recommended from our British friends)

1st of February : Ferry Corsten from The Nederland , no need to introduce this guy

15th of February : Scott Bond from the UK (Resident @ Gatecrasher right now , he gave one of the best sets ever in the last Trance Energy)

8th of March : Armin Van Buuren from The Nederland , the one and only Prince of Trance , rocked the house last month @ Aria for his first Canadian appearance ever .

What do u guys think ? Aria will warm-up our cold winter , remember , this is only the beginning

Sona is my second house, I've been going their since the beginning (When it was a real underground place).
I have 2 many good memories.
U can't love a place just by going 4-5 times
When I go to Aria I have a feeling I'm in a club not in a after and u just confirmed that; "Aria is probably the best club in montreal..."

Hey we live in a Strange World et chacun ses gouts
I'm not missing one Trance night and I m even passing the word to all the ravers I know, but to say Aria is the best after in montreal, hmmm that's going to be very tough lol
SONARULZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
PLUR!

DJHappy u had wonderful memories in Sona that's why you say it's the best place in town . But when u compare the venues (Sona & Aria) i think Aria kicks Sona's ass Besides , i don't like that much the notion of "after-hours" , in Europe the clubs close whenever they want , they are known for the type of music they play (not for their closing time) that's why you see "normal" people wearing "normal" clothes (not necessary raving clothes) when Armin play or any other of our fav. Trance djs (even in big events like Innercity , Sensation or Dance Valley)

As I said chacun ses gouts,
no need to argue and to reply.

Happy you're totally right, everyone's intitled to there own opinion.
Hmmm, I have to say that I personally like Aria a lot more, from what I've experienced they generally seem to care more for there customers, and it's a lot less of a sweaty enviroment. I've had some amazing times at Sona, and I'm sure they'll probably be a few more to come, but as of lately, I haven't been impressed at all, I've only felt as if I'd been taken as a fool, scammed and been a mistreated customer.
I think you have to call them after hours clubs, because they're totally different then our regular clubs here in montreal. You get a deeper experience with the music, whether it be trance, house, techno, hiphop..etc
Biggy who's the big surprise? come on!!!!! let us know

As great as AvB is (supposedly he might be a bimonthly resident @ Aria), if you got the oppurtunity to hit Whistler go for it! I can't wait for the hills to be 100% open around here for a decent tease. Anyone heading up to Chic-Chocs?

Posted by delstar on Dec-16-2001 05:35:

BI MONTHLY RESIDENT??????????????? a dutch dj who just left North american for the first time in his career less than 2 months ago and u tell me he is coming to mtl every second month............biggy.where are u buddy? we need your confirmation...if this is true, i know where i will be every 8 weeks

Posted by fastmp3 on Dec-16-2001 06:05:

Delstar it's not sure yet , the Aria crew is working on it .
If we can get Armin every 2 months , that's prolly gonna be the best that can happen to the city ... wait a minute , the best thing that can happen to this country !!!!!

Many greetings,

Taha

Posted by StereoPrincess on Dec-16-2001 23:47:
