My uncle creeped me the **** out

Today, me and my uncle were having a pleasant conversation about pretty much everything. He's a really great guy, and I always like hangin out with him. So I mentioned a friend of mine and his family. Somehow, the topic changed to incest. Since me and my uncle are(were) cool, I jokingly asked him what he thought about it. He said:

"Well, me and you did some things when you were real young, nothing you would remember."

WTF?!?!?! I was fucking shocked, and he just laughed it off. I kept asking him "what do you mean"? And he's like "Why are you so upset?", like he said nothing wrong at all. He doesn't even DENY shit! I didn't say anything to my mom, but I'm really confused right now.

How would you handle this?

same thing happened to me. my uncle was 12 at the time, i was like 3 or 4. but i keep that on the down low. i dont even mention it. nothing horrible though, but weird shit that shouldnt have happened.

tell him that that conversation really upset you and that you need to talk to other relatives about it. see how he reacts. he should at least know that you won't tolerate that kind of humor (if he was kidding).

I'm gonna do that. I was thinking of going straight to my mom with this, but that kind of accusation could ruin my family. I didn't even know how to handle this a few moments ago. All I could say to him or myself was "WTF?".

I do joke around about fucked up and morbid things sometimes, but never about specific people that I know. When someone tells you that they molested as a child, that's crossing the line.

if this really did happen then you need to talk to your parents about it no matter what. Something simular happened to me when i was 7 and i didn't tell my parents until 2 years ago and i'm 23 now. They would be more upset if you didn't tell them.
