In the spirit of Airdrawndagger?
What are some tracks or cds similar to the style of airdrawndagger? I love that album (especially wavy gravy) and havent heard a lot similar to it..
And what is your favorite track off of Airdrawn dagger?
ehhhh, kinda hard since it was so original and diverse .
Try Digital Witchcraft. Amazing melodic breaks.
Digital Witchcraft - Kaylee's Blanket
Digital Witchcraft - Snowday
Digital Witchcraft - Fingerpaint
These are a bit harder breaks, but they might do the trick.
Chable & The Dirty Fours - Tokyo (Nubreed Mix)
Bedrock - Emerald (Grayarea's Speakeasy Remix)
Check other mixes/compilations Sasha has done, similar tracks there.
Lostep - Burma
And yes, Wavy Gravy has got to be the best track on that album, if not ever .
Havnt come accross one CD that can replicate Airdrawndagger's feel.
not quite the same feel as ADD but another quality release from sasha
sasha - involver
yep, wavy is my fave from ADD too.

Actually I guess you'd say Airdrawndagger is in the style of this, since this has tracks from '92-'96.
Sasha also borrowed many elements from Susumu Yokota's Sakura album. Listen to it and you'll definitely hear the similarities. I believe even Charlie May stated this in one of those Ministry magazines.

In general i'm not into the whole ambient progressive breaks Schnauss ADD Digital Witchcraft post 2000 thing, the breakbeats are too weak. The drum programming doesn't seem well thought out. Everyone raves over the melodies anyway. All this new stuff is basically a few layers of 2 or 3 note melody on top of a weak breakbeat. What I like about the SCO album is that the breaks are strong and not in the background, they're offset with interesting percussion and are interestingly programmed, and the melody is still there. The tracks have a more rhythmic overtone. Another example: Finitribe - 101.93.
