Romi - Shades of Sorrow (remix)

Hi all,

The original was the first track i was quite happy with after some months working with FL-studio. I have redone this one more than once, and this is not the last i think. I'm thinking of remixing this one in Logic some day. For now this is a reworked version of the track in FL-studio that's not perfect, but i thought it would be nice to let you guys listen to and maybe give some usefull tips for the next version. The melody of this one is simple, but very effective i think, but once again, this is not the version where i'm completely happy with. The most important thing why i can't get it better now, is that FL-studio is running like shit here (allways crashes and such things), so watch out for a new and improved Logic-version in the (near) future. I hope you like this version for now.

nice beginning, not sure I like that horn/blow synth sound, but then it went away and everythign was good

I like it, nice drive and eventhough the melody is simple,it certainly works!

i like what i hear so far...the lead sound is awesome! but i dislike the sine-sound...maybe some more brightness in the soundspectrum would be useful...maybe a detuned guitar would sound awesome instead of a sine...
mainlead is cool! synth and melody are done very well!

all in all this is a really good ch00n!
if you will still improve it, tell me! i'm excited about the final verison...

if you could combine more melody with your producing skills .. i'm sure you get a record deal somewhere!

Good driving beat/rythm.

Like the percussions.

Nice pitch bend effect.

The breakdown seems to lack energy, needs bass, fx, sweeps, grand epic Strings etc, specially when the lead/finale kicks in.

Track is in need of a sub/second lead layered over the rest, imo.
