yay for Ryno!!!

fuck you haters in advance.

you just wish your ball team has HALF as much personality

this is going to sound terribly corny... but Wade and also.... guess who???? Sandberg were always my two favorite players growing up... lol... just fitting my two favs are going in at the same time... two great guys... although I think Ryno is a better guy... always stayed out of trouble...

I haven't heard anything about this since he was on the Rays... is he going in as a Devil Ray still?

i used to like ryne sandberg. but the cubs nowadays are just a bunch of crybabies. they're just an overhyped media team, which is to be expected when you're owned by one of the largest newspaper companies. they've killed the reputation that they used to have when they had sandberg, grace, dunston, and dawson.

you forgot da man that practically carried their pitching rotation at times .. greg maddux .. some people don't remember his cubbie days now .. mostly his braves days .. but he did some hard work with the cubs back then .

yea but they thought he was done after his cy young campaign. rick sutcliff did a lot of work for the cubs' staff.

isn't the point of playing professional ball winning championships? since when does a team's personality do that? right....never.

If I lived in Chicago I'd be a White Sock fan. If I lived in New York I'd be a Mets fan.

Oh my god, a Chubby Troll has shown his face on this board. 14 games back you'd think they would keep quiet. Theres a big section of the Cubs fanbase who are just scum, and you sound like you fit the bill. Go Cards!

They have so much personality but have guys like Ramirez, Lee, Prior, Wood, Zambrano, etc and are still 14 games back? Uhhh... oh wait... Prior (Ouch), Wood (Ouch). Personality obviously isn't chemistry or winning games.

The Cubs announcers are boring too (just not as much as Atlanta's). WGN has those schmucks and the "good guys." I don't know who I could root for in Chicago.

Cubs fans certainly aren't lovable but they're definitely losers.

NY- Mets - Giants
Chicago - White Sox
Bay Area - Oakland A's - 49ers
LA- Dodgers - Clippers

for me in the other cities

chicago: white sox - bears - blackhawks (when they are playing the islanders)
LA: clips-dodgers-kings (when they play the islanders)-ducks (when they play the islanders)
bay area: warriors-A's-49ers-sharks (when they play the islanders)

I used to be a hardcore NHL fan in the 90s but a combination of things made me stop liking it except for the playoffs, Id watch. With the new changes I think I might get back into it

LA - I'm supposed to like any of these teams? Dodgers, disgusting. Lakers, my most hated team in sports. Clippers, pathetic franchise. I hate hockey so can't go there. LA Rams are my choice!

Chicago - Bears nope, Cubs nope, White Sux nope, Bulls? HELL NO!

Bay Area - Giants have always been my 2nd fav baseball team. Ray Duhs nope, Warriors I guess they're ok. Forty Whiners? Only my most hated football team. We're not doing good here.

Pittsburgh 79 Super Bowl was before my time, sorry. I was 3 years old and into peeing my pants, not football.

I began liking the Rams in 1984, Eric Dickerson had 2105 yards and they lost to Chicago in the NFC Championship game in 1985.

Flipper Anderson had 330 yards in that game, I remember. I loved Henry Ellard and Flipper. But I remember Everett against the Giants hitting Flipper in stride to win a playoff game on the opening play of overtime. They lost 31-3 the next week against San Fran.

Everett, of course, got the nickname Chris Evert from the sports radio guy Jim Rome because he was such a pussy. Everett would sack himself if there was any pressure later in his career. He always threw off the back of his foot because he got so gun shy.

Greg Bell is Greg Fum-Bell.

Of course the best memory is 1999!!!! My favorite player of all-time, Isaac Bruce, caught the game winning ball in the most entertaining super bowl ever. Bruce is the last LA Ram.

John Robinson only ran the ball until oblivion. Chuck Knox... Rich Brooks who was the coach of my Mighty Ducks of Oregon my freshman year, and later became the coach of my favorite NFL team. I never, ever understood that one, Brooks was not a great college coach.

Anyway, I digress and not many people want to hear about my favorite team. But my dad was a Rams fan and passed his love down to me. I have my small Dickerson jersey still from when I was a little boy.

to your original question, If i lived in the bay area i would most likely be an Oakland A fan.

In Chicago, I'd like neither. Bleh... I'd be a Twins or Brewers fan.

Bay Area, A's all the way.
LA = Dodgers.
New York... Mets.
Florida... neither.
Texas - Rangers.

It's weird how I dig a lot of AL teams, yet I am such an NL fan...
