Meat Beat Manifesto - Helter Skelter (one of the best you're likely to hear; very much influenced the onset of early oldschool hardcore.)
Dr. Phibes - Acid Story
Bazz - The Drop Deal
early 90s sets from Luke Slater

...really dunno why i'm contributing as you never contribute to my threads, but i s'ppose i'm just too benevolent...

yeah, chemical brothers would be the given, the door to the world of big beat for anyone who wants to dig.
and no, electronic battle weapon 7 (if that's the one you meant) is not big beat.

thanks for the recommendations.
and about contributing in your threads.. the only one i see at the moment is 'what are you listening to atm', i believe that thread has enough replies as it is.. if you really like to know what i'm listening to, stop by irc, i got a script there.
(and just one for right now: Maetrik - Cologne And Back)

if you mean other threads you've made here... well, i only click an average of 5 threads in the MD every week, and i select them by the topic, i rarely have a look at the thread starter before entering the thread. i dont post in all threads i see because in some i have nothing to add, in others - all i wanted to say has been said already, or i have too much to say and not enough time to say it, so i stay out completely.

I couldn't care less what you're listening to, but what I was alluding to are the acid threads I'd made a while back, which I'm very convinced you caught sight of more than once. Think nothing of it though...

Chemical Brothers - Loops Of Fury

The first Chemical Brothers album, Exit Planet Dust. And I guess Dig Your Own Hole too. They both have some acid influenced tracks, although I haven't listened to either in a while so I might be wrong.

why do you guys keep suggesting the stuff that i obviously have and have heard?
isn't anyone here into big beat enough to scratch beyond the surface?
