Did anyone get picked for WORLD CUP 2006 ticket applications ??

Germany is destined to be the host of one of the biggest summers in European history in the last 10 years. not since France 1998 has there been such a buzz surrounding the World Cup competition leadup and qualifying matches.
The Final match of the competition is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 9th, 2006 at Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium) in Berlin, the SAME day and weekend as the Love Parade. Some analysts expect the turnout to shatter records set of 1.5 million circa 1997/1998 for the event. Organizers of the Love Parade are hoping that they can bring back the festival in a triumphant return after a 2 year absence from the Tiergarten in what is sure to be one of Germany's finest moments in recent history.

Olympiastadion
Originally designed by architect Werner March and built between 1934-36 for around 42 million Reichsmark, American sprinter Jesse Owens won four gold medals here at the Olympic Games in 1936. Today, one of the avenues leading to the ground bears the great runner's name. Since 1985, the German Cup Final has been played in the stadium, which received a facelift prior to hosting three games in the 1974 FIFA World Cup.
The World Cup matches are scheduled to take place over about a month with the first matches of the group stages beginning on June 6th, and the final again occurring on July 9th. For a full match schedule see here:

Prices for group stages and knockout rounds vary with the possibility of purchasing a ticket only through a lottery process where one must apply. Tickets for the following teams have already been sold out due to high demand:
Germany, as well as Argentina, Brazil, England, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the USA.
I believe that France has now also been sold out fyi.

Has anyone managed to get their application approved ?? I'm going back to Europe next summer for sure in what is sure to be the biggest summer in recent years. Whether or not I attend the final match will not stop me from being in Berlin on the weekend of July 9th, 2006 !
thanks for this....
I need to get my ass out to one of the matches involving croatia if they qualify, and am gonna put all these links to very good use.

you are correct.
But why are they selling them as a minumum of 3-packs for tickets? I won't have time to spend 1 whole week in germany watching all the games, even if I could. Are there any single tickets gonna be released?

alright, if that's the way they wanna play it, I need to now know the security layout for the stadiums. Hell if I'm in the croatian part of the stands it's definately gonna be 'standing room only', especially by the the flaming oil drums and flare guns...
I don't think I'm going to go to any games, but just to be in any city where there are knock out round games going on I'll be in. The atmosphere in the streets/cafes/fountain's is always as good or better than being at the game (ofcourse nothing beats seeing live what's on the field). I hope Germany can have the same kind of atmosphere as France 98 or Euro 2000 because Korea/Japan and Portugal were big disapointments in this category.
My plan is Germany in June, working in Toronto in July, 'Universal Religion end of Ibiza summer' set in August
