Great link for posting

For those of you that missed it, this is Sasha's Ableton Live EM. Though he may not have taken full advantage of the capabilities of AL, this is still a nice set and worth a listen if you enjoy the style of music Sasha spins

I'm still listening to this set in my car every day, amazing stuff.

Do you know of any sets/albums that do use the capabilities of AL? I'd like to hear more of what can be done with this program...

Try a Richie Hawtin Ableton set. The man runs Sasha in the dust with overall use. Sasha is fine with Ableton Live, but Hawtin is the oft-proclaimed King.

That said, don't expect Hawtin to be trance. To listen to his sets, you should have more than the average trance-only or Prog-only mindset. Dont let that stop you though...

Any specific ones? I'm finding some from 2004 and older, not many from 2005 yet. Not sure how long Ableton has been around or when he began using it in sets.

Listening right now..there was some nice synths in the beginning, the short break in "Science" with wavy gravy is cool. thats as far as i am in the mix. nothing special, but inspiring..

I really must stop listening to this now we have it on nearly every day at work

just FYI, it would be better if you'd remove those links, or parse the url as if you search you'll find that any links from yousendit.com usually get their guy removing the dl's & bitching about it breaching terms & conditions of use, and that can get ta into the shit, which nobody wants

Thanks that has been noted!

Awesome set!

You want to hear the full capabilities of Ableton Live 4 in action? Check out this set by Detroit techno master John Tejada:

He records sequences live using a MIDI controller keyboard and plays around with them instantly over the tracks. Not as good mixingskill-wise as Sasha, but his use of AL is impressive enough.

Lots of Border Community stuff in this set btw.
