It's such an eccentric game. Any closet chess players out here? I would like to say that I'm somewhat interested but it's too long and takes too much thinking.

I love chess...it's a great game, and can be one of the most intense thinking games out there - when i have time i'm always up for it. great game
i like games that you can play while youre drunk or stoned.
like Boggle.
You know what's really fun? Try playing chess when you're under the influence of amphetamines. It takes each player like 15 minutes to make their move because you just sit there overanalyzing every possibility of every move. And then you see the cigarette sitting on the table that you really want to smoke. And next thing you know, you're talking about how great you are and how women should be fawning over you. After that, you wonder if you should do another line. Then, you and your friends get into a candid discussion about the drug business and how it's like a giant game of chess, with its pawns, kings, and knights. It's at that point that you remember that you were playing chess, and it's your move.
I can totally picture that. Yes, chess is teh win!

i am more into shuffleboard myself ..

but my B knight can kill your bishop while my H rook can make the backdoor cut to catch your queen offguard, causing my C pawn and G knight to trap your king in the corner, having my queen eat your king alive ..

i play it when im bored im school, or sometimes on the net. ive got 100 games to my credit on yahoo, about 50% win rate.
