Midi Problem (FL Studio)

Im using the latest FL Studio, however my problem is:
(Hardware- Access Virus A Synth and Audiophile 24/96 soundcard)

I have my Virus A, connected up and playing audio fine no problem. However (presume i have a basic kick and hi hat playing also) when I arrange some notes in the piano roll then click on play, the kick drum/hi hat run correctly in time but there seems to be a delay in the virus. The notes sometime stutter or fall behind or sometimes even notes get missed? Its like its dropping out of synch with the FL Sequencer.

I have it connected up correctly midi in/out virus ---> midi in/out audiophile sound card.

Anyone got any pointers on settings I can look at which may help ?
