Outlook Express help! fackin thing!......fack!
So i'm trying to set up my outlook express so I can receive e-mails from my works e-mail server, as well as send e-mails out under my work e-mail. So I set up my pop3 incoming mail server to my work one, then I set up my outgoing server to my rogers connection which is apparently "smtp.broadband.rogers.com", then apply it. I cant send any e-mails though, and I dont think I can get them. I just says error when it connects and says:
"The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'YOO!', Account: 'mail.dvsupplyshop.ca', Server: 'smtp.broadband.rogers.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 authentication required - for help go to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-11.html', Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78"
I changed the outgoing port to 587 because 25 wasnt working. Nothing seems to fackin help.
ANY IDEAS!??

it looks like the Rogers SMTP server will only send messages that are addressed from a @rogers.com mail account.
Does your work have an SMTP server?
try setting your email address to your @rogers.com account and your "reply-to" email addy to your work one.
edit: and make you have the authentication set up.
Open the account properties... under the Server tab, check the box that says "My server requires authentication".
You will need to supply your Rogers username and password for sending outgoing mail.
SMTP authentication allows your ISP to verify that you are a legitimate user.
