Tiesto @ Amphitheater Ybor in August
Sorry if there's a thread for this already. I specifically recalled Paul the Pimp mentioning something about Tiesto coming to Amp sometime in August or October a while back. If anyone has any more info about this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
I dont recall him mentioning anything like that at all Max.
uhhh....i dont recall hearing anything either
during that time he'll be on his TIC tour so i doubt he'd be playing the amp. :/
havent you heard tiesto doesnt do "clubs" anymore.

Oh MAN! You got my hopes up there. I know Amp does have some great shows (I live about 20 miles away) and if they could pull something off like that, it would be heavily advertised in advance.
They did pull it off actually. Tiesto was at Amp for the first time last December, and Ferry was there in June. It doesnt happen very often but they are starting to bring in the big names. Those are the only nights I go to Amphitheater, and of course when dj santana is spinning there.

They jacked up their bottle service so high that NO ONE was upstairs that night.
well that sucks. Weird though cuz i remember people being up there, I guess no one payed for a table then really. Im not a rush to see Tiesto again anyway, bring on Ferry again, or even G&D.
btw, hello Russ

oh no, the night for Tiesto doesnt even come close to the night for Ferry. The vibe was friggin insane for Ferry, 46540654056406465 times better than Tiesto. Amber and I will both tell you it was the most amazing clubbin experience either of us have ever had. You should have been there.
i was surprised at how small the amp is. tiesto's too busy selling out the stadiums to come to the amp. much more money for him.

i go to the underground at least twice a month. nothing else ive gone to has compared. its 5$ on regular nights, but on those nights, MAYBE 40-50 people at most are there. some rooms are completly empty with the dj by himself mixing. on big nights, its a good crowd, but plenty of space to walk around. 20$ at the door. they got drum n bass/jungle room, the big breakbeat room and the smaller room u walk into where they play sometimes trance or house.
saturday is hip hop night.
ive seen the owner walk around the place. my impression of him is that is a grumpy old fart. he just walks around with this pissed off face like he's in the mafia or somethin. he's old, and that may be the reason that club has stayed "underground". whereas the amp has an energetic younger owner who is also a very good business man and has a great promotion team.

I would love to see my fav DJ, Ferry perform at the Amp again. He freaking rocked the house that night!! The best I've ever seen him spin, dropping lots of new high energy tracks. And I've seen Ferry about 10 times. Definitely one of my most memorable nights ever!!
