happened to me back in 7th grade...my best friends now are the shit...and wouldnt act like chumps...but i know what u mean
yea, ive gotten to be a better judge of character as the years go on. Ya tend to notice thse things earlier, and it doesn't surprise ya when it happens later on.
Sometimes those who you think are chumps actually come through and act better than some of your best friends would though. Out of my experience at least.

I dont know if its the same for others but I find out hard meeting new people and actually making friends out of them as I get older. When I was younger it was way easier but being stabbed in the back so many times makes you avoid trusting people.
Most people I meet become associates. I have 3 people I would actually call best friends and I have known them since junior high school, we grew apart and see each other every so often because we live busy lives.
To be honest I actually dont know if I want to let any new people into my circle of friends. I am really tired of the drama. Also IMO there are not that many people that would prove theyre loyalty or be there for me as I would for someone else. What ends up happening is I try to be a true friend but the other person wont go the same distances as me. I guess its all a matter of what you consider being a real friend. There have been many times that I have been completely selfless in order to help others and it ends up all in vain.
My rule now....why bother. Unless they show the initiative first I wont go out of my way because I dont know what to expect from them.
i havent seen the kids i went to 7th grade with for about 4 years or something.
i have to make freinds everywhere i move and never end up keeping the same group for 2+ years because i move. it sucks.
but i have become a pretty good judge of character over the years.. but ive def had some bad experiences with people.. just messed up shit, you feel like you dont even know them anymore.

It turns out I was trippin and he wasn't really hating. I just felt like venting at the time. Thankfully things are all good now.
