What happened to Deep Dish?

I know this has been discussed before, but what happened to Deep Dish? George Is On is their first album in seven years. You would think that after 7 years they could make decent tunes. From an old skool Deep Dish fans point of view, this album is pure garbage compared to Junk Science (classic). Imo the album is completely directed towards a more mainstream market. For the most part all the tracks on the first cd are shit. The only two decent ones are Dub Shepard and Everybodys wearing my head. You can as much as you want to about Flashdance, but its pretty much played the hell out. I still have a bit of faith that they can pull of decent live sets, lets hope so.

Could be wrong but.. I think deep dish are using their name on the back of flash dance as a way to sell music to the mainstream while in turn hoping this will draw in a bigger audience to the dancefloors where they will play stuff that is a little less mainstream. If so its a good idea in theory , a bit disapointing if you liked thier earlier productions but not their new sutff i guess.

All I know is that Yoshiesque 2 is one of my fav. House comps ever, but their most recent mixes have been pretty disapointing (especially GU 25 was a load of bulcrap). Still, I believe that they're still rocking it live. At least that's what I hope, considering I'm probably gonna catch a gig of them when Im in Miami this summer.

Its just a case of mainstream = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I was gutted when i heard the album but itd the wider ausience they are after now.

Have to admit, Lois is becoming gradually hotter during the 4th season. If I were to be drawn into Family Guy: I'd hit it.

well. just compare. Moscow GU. then Toronto GU. then... this stuff they were playing in late 2004

first event/DJs i ever saw. in Dec. 2002. they fuckign KICKED ASS. one of the best sets i've ever heard, probably the best party.

they came back last year, and after listening to their EM, and seeing the gigantic mass appeal they had gotten (meaning the crowd was not only going to suck, but be disgustingly packed) i didn't even bother going...
