One Hit Wonders

Is there such a thing in Trance music, considering that, I'd say, about 60%-70% of trance comes from those "one hit wonders"?

This is completely wrong and if anyone believes such they know very little about trance / 'EDM'. Simply it is because there are in reality at any time in music only a number of DJs / producers who will use different names and alias for different projects and collaberations. Take for example Motorcycle (G&D), so are they one hit wonders with As The Rush Comes ?

And he made like 10 excellent, albeit non-hit songs afterwards.

You really believe that at a certain time there are only a certain number of producers producing music??? My friend, I believe you know little about trance/EDM! Music is produced by hundreds of thousands of people everyday, and only the lucky few make it.

You my friend (Mortyman) are a grade A foo'

- oh wait, i forgot where trance came from. was it europe?

All i am saying is that there is less producers or 'acts' than it would first appear. Many of these will have one hit wonders but the people behind them have had alot more than 1 hit.

look on discogs and learn something about 'your' music

producers and their alias some examples...

Energy 52 was Cosmic Baby, Kid Paul. I'm fairly sure Cosmic Baby had a fair bit of success as Visions Of Shiva with PvD.

i'd say that to some extent whoever said that music is made by key people is right. i mean...at least all the good music seems to be made by key groups of people in the biz. of course there are a ton of people trying, but the real artists that pump out tune after tune that is worth anything are very few...and also not the ones people usually recognize or think of...
