What is the deal with the "family stickers"??

Being that I am not from this country (USA)...I do not seem to
understand why most citizens in SUV's (and cars) decide to blatantly
expose themselves to complete strangers on the street, by depicting
their whole family and even DOGS, by placing stickers that represent
them on the back of their cars.

El Spamo questions: WHY??????

Yes! They basically tell everyone and their mother who lives
within that household. It is weird because they have stickers that
look like a "dad", one like 'mom', etc and even have different hair color to somewhat get close to mimick what they look like!

Anyways ive never seen a stupid sticker like that on a car. Maybe its only in your town.

really, what next? painting your car with little pink hearts all over it, and a huge "john loves mary, and mary loves john" sticker?
