Your Best Clubbing Moment?
Most of us have been on here a long while and im sure we all feel like we have seen all we need to see by now (bar a few exceptions of course) but after a couple of conversions ive had recently i was wondering wot u best clubbing moments were.
For me theres been two that really stand out :
Mauro Picotto @ NEC April 2002,
This was the first time i had met anyone off the board plus first night i had been "proper" clubbing. was a great night all the way through and met some amazing people, plus it was also the first time i had done any drugs. I remember asking ste for some and he said have a half for now and at some point i got a little bit of speed too. Basically that equaled me being fucking ruined! And then i remember Picotto playing Athos - Oh My God, ive always been a bit of a picotto fan especially back in these days. Bout halfway through his set this random South Park sample came on for this tune and at the time i was off my tits and i remember they had some random cartoon on the big screen behind the dj which i remember thinking, what a min thats not fucking south park so why the fuck can i hear it! So im standing there looking around at the 10,000 or wotever people in the room trying to comprehend wot the fuck was going on when the south park sample said "dude what the fuck is wrong with german people" and at the point the beat kicked back in and everyone in the entire arena cheered and i suddenly realised where i was and it was amazing! Best thing about this was it was recorded on the radio and i still have the set now and when it kicks back in and every1 cheers it still gives me chills down my spine now!
The other moment that sticks in my mind was at Godskitchen @ Telewest Arena 2003 (I Think) :
It hadnt been the greatest night out i had been on most of night but was still very enjoyable, if i remember rightly i was out with Luke, Gibbo and Ste. Overall the night was good, nothing great but one moment stood out to me and even now just gives me goosepimps thinking about it. Tiesto had been on and been good to be fair, Ste had a sign for him to play Urban Train which he complied to (Cosmic Gate Remix if i remember rightly???) was mint, and then Armin came on and i think it was quite early in his set we decided we were a little tired so went to sit on the chairs around the side of the arena. So we were sitting down around the side of this HUGE arean with some amazing acoustics enjoying what was going on when he dropped Nitromethane - Time To Die (Seraque Remix) which is one of my fav clubbing tunes ever and as i looked across the 10's of thousands of people out there waving their glowsticks and with the lights going mental it was the most amazing sights i had seen!
anyway thats enough reminiscing from me how about u lot, wot have been ur greatest clubbing moments?

Hmm so many to choose from...
One that I do remember though was a few years back when I saw tiesto @ godskitchen. He spun Rank 1 - Airwave half way through the 6 hr set....boy did the place explode or what

Creamfields 2003 for me...
Pvd's set... Basic Dawn - Pure Thrust (Nu Nrg mix)
I hadn't even liked the tune before that to be honest, but when that break hit
Hairs on neck, almost in tears!

that's a tough one, i've had plenty of good moments but none that stand out as amazing above the rest.
one that springs to mind is the final hardcore heaven where they filmed footage for the your shining video. i was on my mates shoulders and the whole place exploded
"I FEEELL YOOOOU
I WANT YOOOOU...

the Fight the Power demonstration in Germany that took place instead of Love Parade 2004.
i've never experienced anything like it in terms of atmosphere, fun and tracks.

3 that I can think of, both on the white isle.
Ibiza 1999 @ Manumission
Sonique doing a random vocal over "carte blanch - vera cocha" 10,000 people errupting in 1 moment. At the same time the sun started shining through the bay windows as it was about 5.30am
Ibiza 2001 Cream closing party @ Amnesia
Paul van dyke dropped delerium silence for the first time I had ever heard it, the massive smoke machine went off and the place went absolutley crazy. Even my friend who doesnt like trance music at all keeps talking about that moment many years later.
Slinky in bornemouth back in about 2001 i think, We had a blinding night and had to leave at about 3am to catch our coach back to portsmouth, the dj dropped rank 1 - airwave and the place was still jammed even tho it was so late, everyone sang along and we all missed the coach home
had to wait for 7am to get the train.
This is a great subject, makes me recall many wicked nights!!
1. Flutlicht / SHOKK LIVE @ Godskitchen Birmingham Feb 03
Wow, what can I say!!? All their tunes in one set: fucking amazing! I was literally on the ceiling.

Re: Rank1 "Airwave"
Just what did they sing? Something like this??
ALL TOGETHER NOW:
"Derr... derr-derr...
"Dah-derr, der-derr...
"Dah-derr..
"Der-nerr...
Der-nerrr, Nerr nerr....
Nerr-nerr..!
(repeat)

Ha! Sorry, I couldnt resist

My first festival at Homelands 2000 in the Essential Mix arena. PVD was closing with a four hour set. I was right at the front with my mates and we just looked back at the crowd and I've never seen a sight like it. Must have been 4-5000 in that particular arena, biggest marquee I've ever been in and I've seen a few over the years including summer sound system, knebworth, global gathering etc.
PvD was banging away as well, best set I've ever witnessed from any DJ. Unfortunately radio 1 only broadcasted 2 hours worth, better than nothing I suppose.
Gods 2 or 3 years ago, not totally sure when. Went mainly to see Dumonde but Guy Ornadel dropped Ligaya. The place erupted, the lasers were awsome, the poppers were amazing, and the beans worked. Definately my defining moment in clubbing. How times have changed, hardly bother with it now.
Seeing Nu-NRG perform one of their 'Live Sets' with the keyboard setup etc at Creams Ibiza Launch party in Liverpool in 2004.
Its the first time i'd ever heard anything by Nu-NRG, i didnt expect much from the Italian duo but i was wrong. One of the most energetic, euphoric and downright fucking awesome sets i have ever witnessed. The intro was so melodic and beautiful, and they slowly moved into The Eternal / Sunday Afternoon / Freefall / Connective / Supersonik Way all superb banging tunes at 1am. I see them every chance i get

the whole night was great... weather was brilliant & i was with a big group of close friends for most of the night. 10pm-5am was spent in the main arena... Armin, Tiesto & PvD all played really good sets (in that order).. i was dancing pretty much non-stop throughout, except towards the end of pvd where i chilled outside on the grass for a bit. paul finished at half 3 and his last tune faded out into ferry's intro, just as i was beginning to peak (it was my first ever time taking pills). i spent the entire duration of galaxia in an absolutely heavenly state, was the best feeling of my entire life and i doubt i'll ever forget it... words just can't describe it. and then the bit which absolutely topped it all was hearing that oh-so-familiar piano hook 3 mins in....
... ferry then went on to bash out an utterly shameless classics set featuring all of his most loved productions & remixes, perfect end to a perfect night!
shame fergie came on after and emptied the tent, lol

yeah even though i normally dislike armin, i'll admit he played a damn good set that year. this year he was diabolical though
Didn't he play Yet Another Suburban Train? I thought he was a bit crap.
