How much do you spend on digital downloads?

I don't know if this has been done before but...

How much do you guys spend on digital downloads? I realized I just spent 60 bucks in the last two days buying tracks, and only want more

So what about you guys? My average is probably only about 80 bucks a month, but this month it might be a bit more

hmm i usually get 20$ every two weeks or so... beatport's new stuff comes out on thursday so shopping is usually done after that

i had the same problem, but sooner or later, i ran out of things to download. i get good tracks as they come out but there arent many every week. so i say, i get about 1 track per week? that is after my first binge of getting all the songs that i always wanted.

I spend about $20 every two weeks or so, depending on the week. Since I don't have any superfrequent gigs, I can afford to wait a week or two for the $.50 price drop

I noticed that! I think some of the bigger beatport exclusives are $2.49, some of the normal new releases are $1.99, and older releases are either $1.49 or $1.29. I don't know what's up with the new pricing, but it's still cheaper than vinyl, so I'm not whining yet

yeah very true.

20$ on beatport is like 10 or so tracks. 20$ vinyl is like two

Just in the last 30 days I've spent around $700 (this includes iTunes stuff on rap/rock/country/etc too).

Usually I spend about $50 a month on EDM digital downloads though...

check out their forum once in a while...

Dear Valued Customers,

We appreciate your continued support and value each and every one of you who have been with us for the last 20 months during the growth of our industry. We wanted to take the time to inform you about the price changes here at Beatport. Due entirely to your continued support, Beatport has become the global leader in digital dance music. However, as a global site our company is forced to keep tabs on international changes in currency exchange rates and the influence of our international partners. As many of you know, the dollar is still underperforming compared to that of the Euro and the British Pound. In response to this trend, we must make every effort to strike a balance between the needs of our label partners and that of our customers. Currently, Beatport receives over 67% of our music from labels located outside of the USA. If Beatport is to continue providing our customers with the best new tracks from all over the world, we must take a global position in regards to pricing structure. The new pricing structure is as follows:

Exclusive Promos $2.49
New Releases $1.99
Back Catalog - $1.49

If you believe the exclusive and new release price is too high, you are free to wait until the track reaches the Back Catalog price range to purchase the song.

Furthermore, Beatport offers the highest quality files and the best customer service in the business. We will be providing many new functions in the near future as well to justify the price hike (including WAV downloads!)

In closing, we sincerely hope to maintain each and every one of you as a valued customer. However, we must keep our international partners needs in mind as well. Feel free to post replies (within reason) about this topic as we sincerely appreciate any feedback on the issue.
