Waxing the body

I'm thinking about waxing my armpits, stomach, pubes and my ass crack. I'm gonna leave the legs alone. If I wax, will I sweat less between the legs? Will it irritate me like when I shave? I shaved everywhere on my body once, and to this day, I regret it.

Should I do it, or not?

I hate body hair, so go for it.

Posted by apostrophe on Aug-09-2005 01:04:

you're a dood right? that's gonna be painful...a new level of pain.

Posted by Akridrot on Aug-09-2005 01:06:

Well, yeah, but I don't want to do it if it's more irritating than shaving.

I'm only doing it because I'm gonna be having more sex than usual while my parents are away, so I need to be 'cleaner'.

@apostrophe: but will the pain LAST like shaving?

emmm, i have no idea. i've never waxed the more private areas of my body. but i'm pretty sure you won't have the irritation and bumps that you'd get from shaving. so i'm getting not. ask somebody that's waxed everything off though?

why am i even talking about this with you

The places it will hurt the most are where your skin is close to the bone. I waxed my chest once and on my collarbone and sternum it hurt like a mofo. But no, the pain is not lasting like shaving.

Then I'm gonna be doing it. I can't wait till tommorow!

Posted by Akridrot on Aug-09-2005 01:20:

I would assume that's an expensive option?

Maybe I should go permanently hairless, but not now.

Posted by apostrophe on Aug-09-2005 01:25:

doesn't hair sometimes grow back though? lighter and softer or something?

Posted by Krypton on Aug-09-2005 01:52:

i shave my entire body periodically minus my head hair. matter of fact, im due for another shave. having an electric buzzer makes everything so much easier. i just have to oil it, so itll cut the hair and not pull it.

Ew just ew. All of you... Ewe.

Posted by D-res on Aug-09-2005 03:16:

ok well.... i've tried to wax my stomach before and it hurt and it didnt work for shit so i resort to shaving. you shouldnt get rid of all the pubes but keep it clean. pubes are like an optical illusion. the make your dick look bigger, and in your case i'm sure you need all the help you can get. i keed but still, if you are gonna wax you ass, you have to proportion it well since you said you're not going to do the legs. it'll look weird going from a bare ass to thick hair so thin it out at the top of your legs and let it build a little thicker.

I personally am quite a hairy guy. I keep the balls hairless and keep the pubs clean, like... short and not like.. all over the place. i shave my stomach and chest but i havent lately because i'm letting to grow out so i can get it professionally waxed.

oh, and guys without underarm hair look weird. atleast keep a little but use scissors and keep it shorter and managed.

... you can consult me for all your bodily hair grooming needs

oh lastly, when you've gotten rid of all the hair, make sure to exfoliate so that you skin stays smooth and you dont develope ingrown hairs, etc.

on shaving yer chest and stomach, does it get hairier and hairier..(thicker or whatever) as you continue to shave? that just seems uncomfortable

Indeed. You see, that's what happens when people stay too much time indoors. They start thinking about weird stuff, wax their arses and then, when you least expect, they've got the whole Star Wars trilogy.

hair growth is genetical. it has nothign to do with cutting it. neither do nails

What is sugaring?

Using a technique which originated in Egypt, a paste made primarily of sugar is applied to the surface of the skin. The sugaring paste is then removed taking the hair along with it.

How does sugaring work?

The sugaring paste is warmed and then applied thinly to the skin in the direction of the hair growth. Reusable cotton strips are then pressed firmly onto the paste and then sharply pulled back thus removing the hair with the sugaring paste.

On what areas of the body can sugaring be used?

Practically all areas including eyebrows, upper lip, underarms, legs, arms, stomach, and the bikini line. Men have one exception - they cannot use sugaring on the beard due to a different hair root system.

How long before hair regrows after sugaring?

Generally sugaring hair removal lasts between 4 and 6 weeks depending on the level of hair growth. The hair is removed from the root. Repeated sugaring treatments can tend to weaken the hair so it becomes easier over time.

Is sugaring safe?

Yes, the ingredients are all natural. Sugaring even has healing properties. Paste solutions which are purchased can also contain other ingredients such as citric acid and gum Arabic.

The citric acid is an astringent which can tighten the skin making hair removal easier and the gum Arabic gives a proper consistency to the paste making it easier to remove.

What are the differences between sugaring and waxing?

Wax adheres to the hair and the skin.
Sugaring paste adheres only to the hair so there is less discomfort.

Wax is applied either hot or cold (in precoated strips) to the skin.
Sugaring paste is used at room temperature or slightly warmed.

Wax often contains chemicals which can be a little hard on the skin if used repeatedly.
Sugaring paste is completely natural and gentle on the skin.

Wax can be messy to clean up due to the petroleum base.
Sugaring paste is easily cleaned up with water.

Thats actualyl not quite true. Most people think that when you say hair grows in thicker after shaving that you get more actual hair folicles, but really what happens is the hair strengthens and becomes thicker.

Hence, stubble.

Shaving doesnt hurt but the after effects like when it grows back can be irritating. If its your first wax its gonna hurt. I remember when I got my first wax I actually bled from my hair follicles and my legs ended up looking like the skin of a feather plucked chicken. It took days till it went away. Your skin will be very sensitive in that area and possible welped following a wax.

Try nair instead just make sure you follow the directions so that you dont get chemical burn by leaving it on too long. Nair doesnt hurt, its faster and cheaper than wax too. If you think using nair is gay cuz its for chicks try some magic shave for men or another type of lotion hair removal product.

brazilian bikini waxes are EXTREMELY painful and somewhat ackward... but the results are well worth it... after several waxes u will notice that the hair grows in much finer as well

actually thats what i was refering to. thats a myth. it doesnt do anything to the hair. the hair on a mans face is going to be fuller and thicker no matter what because thats what facial hair is it doesnt do that because you shave it

I'm getting my chest, stomach, and back waxed pretty soon. And on a side note, what's the point of having a hairy asshole?
