american intercontinental university

whats up from the other side of the atlantic,uk?? i'm currently looking into transferring into the aiu- london campus and was just curious if anyone knows anything about it, as you are all much closer to it than myself i would be going to study media production, which i am told is their strongest program. if anyone has anything they can tell me about the school/program/studying abroad in london from the us i would greatly appreciate it!!! thanks!

no the name of the university is just american intercontinetal university. i guess i shouldn't be too surprised that you guys hadn't heard of it as it is an american school, its just that it so happens to be in london, well this campus at least. there are other campuses throughout the us too. thanks anyway though. another question... the rate of the student housing is u.s. $1500 a month which is about 834 pounds, according to a currency converter i used online. is that about the average for housing in london or much higher or lower??

Posted by scAza on Aug-11-2005 09:55:

well thats FUCKING insanity that!!!

$1500 per month

Don't know about London, although it will inevatibly be more expensive, but here in Liverpool student housing costs say 50/week on average, which is about 200/month

200 = about $350 right now I think?

Looks a lot cheaper than US anyway, which I'm shocked at

somewhere along those lines....

i've been told over and over that the cost of living in london is even more than in new york, which the avg privce for an apt in manhattan would be about $1500 a month.

madness I tells thee!!

Posted by peace n trance on Aug-12-2005 19:10:

believe you me, i know how insane it is!!! haha but getting out of the us to come to the uk would be quite an unreal experience!!! so who gives a shit about money... thats what loans are for

Posted by scAza on Aug-12-2005 19:52:

yeah...

the cost of living in London is no doubt gonna be a lot more than in the USA (food/drink etc)... Even compared to the rest of the UK the prices for a lot of things in the capital are extortiante, but from the sounds of it the student accomodation will be MEGA CHEAP compared to what your used to

AND, you'll be able to go to turnmills each week

Posted by slinkyhead on Aug-13-2005 17:46:

student accomodation should be around the 100per week bracket for self catering, if you want en-suite or meals it may be upwards of 150 per week.

I went to UCL and AIU is not part of it, hadnt heard of AIU until friday when i got an email from a colleague who had been sent it from someone at AIU.

London is great to be a student

Smiley DJ

Hey bro.. I'll be studying at Richmond University (American International University .... www.richmond.ac.uk) this semester.

I'm going out there all by my lonesome, and it would be cool to meet some like minded people as soon as I get out there.

Hit me up in an e-mail: Jason@Alvarado(Dot)com
