Be Cool! I critized a white rapper today and he went all *******y on me!!

This guy was rapping this song he wrote for the audience to listen to and after he had finished, we were allowed to criticize it if we felt it wasn't any good..

I don't know what the hell these people were thinking about cheering and clapping for, those lyrics didn't make any sense lol.
So when the mc asked if anyone felt the song was bad, i rose my hand and said my 2 cents.

I was afraid at first because he was a caucasian rapper and he did look scary..but I was like "Well, i just thought that your lyrics could've been written better"

He's like "What? Better how?"

I said "Well it didn't have any meaning to the subject of your song"

He says "Well maybe you haven't had a tough life like i've had it"

I said "I think you're supposed to write a song that expresses you, not so much what you're feeling"

He says "Oh so you're telling me why i write??"

I said "No that's not what i'm saying"

He says "Oh so you're telling me i can't hear either?"

I was like "Well can you read? Cause i can write it down for you"

I thought he was gonna go beserk on me lol but he didn't..he just walked off.

But like, 20 minutes later he comes back and steps in my face asking me why i really hated his song??

I just told him why too and he still never understood it.

After that i just said to him "Well if you're feeling all froggy about it, you can jump"

And then he left....heh, i hope he takes this opportunity to write a better song.

It appears as if you didn't make enough of a case for yourself to prove how shiat his song was

When you're going to destroy someone just saying " you could have written it better " is soooooooooo weak.
It's important to emphasize what was bad and how he may have improved it or how he truly miserably failed at it.

Had I been there I'm sure I could have made him cry

You must dislike most music out there then.

i like the "well you didnt have a tough life like me" comment. like that excludes him from all criticism. you should have just said "well the jerk store called and they've run out of you"

OH, YEAH!!? WELL I SLEPT WITH YOUR WIFE!

Posted by Rainborn on Aug-10-2005 15:15:

ROFL is he stupid?

If he had a tough life, he should be able to write good lyrics.
Because if you have a bad childhood and shit like that, you can write about stuff that moves ya.

Stupid fuck I say.

Posted by Floorfiller on Aug-10-2005 15:19:

well...your comment was kinda dumb. music can't be about what you're feeling?

clearly thats just someone elses opinion of what good "underground" rap is, otherwise you would be sure if it was correct or not

dont let others tell you whats good, and what to like or hate, listen and decide for yourself

i used to use him and spiderman...but spiderman is gone wtf...when did that happen?

Posted by Lira on Aug-10-2005 16:37:

By the way, what's the problem of being a "white" rapper? Does melanine have any influence on rapping skills?

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Aug-10-2005 16:37:

i say you should have brought your "crew" and then made your statement .. they always say power in numbers, right ?

but i agree with the above .. could have added a little bit more "umph" in your argument .. could have made the altercation a lot shorter, and your post a lot shorter also .
