Werd.

Having nuclear facilities will help the Iranian people to have better lives and less/no black outs.

So Bush can STFU and worry about the mess in Iraq.

Did you forget about the pearl harbour attack from Japan on America. This was an unprovoked, pre-emptive strike where innocent people were also killed.

Also, europe is pressuring Iran to shutdown nuclear facilities... and they are asking the US for support, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

the UN has nothing to do with this.

who is putting the most pressure on Iran?

i'm not the brightest dude, but you're in over your head here.

Posted by Q5echo on Aug-11-2005 01:40:

you got me

yes, i am a death mongerer. nothing pleases me more than to see horrific images of badly burned Japanese children.

yes. it is a priviledge (for lack of a better word). if you have a better word to describe what Iran's self-professed vision of owning them (nukes), then i'm all ears.

Pakistan. Israel. India. it's too late, but i will not accept more proliferation. i don't care who it is. the world be damned if historically responsible gatekeepers of nuclear proliferation stand idley by while Iran, of all countries, develops unchecked.

you don't trust my country or the other gatekeepers? fine. i can't change that as much as i can't take back what happened to innocent Japanese children. i'll let my county's history of nuclear checks and balances since 1945 do the talking. because god knows we have had every oppurtunity to use them given the chance

however, i plead to you, do not let Iran go unchecked if you can help it. i don't care where you're from. i don't care if you hate me and what my country stands for. stand up and scream "NO!" to Iran's efforts. you think we can't be trusted? try trusting Iran with nukes.

IRAN is no IRAQ

- First off, unless you are talking about universally accepted fundamental human rights such as freedom of thought, don't mention that anyone has the "right" to do anything. The "right" , in this case, is a non-literal word in which we have all assigned different meanings and interpreations based on our experiences and bias. Preaching that "Iran" has the right to build nuclear technology offers no progression of this thread/debate.

- Yeah, I trust that quote... That's worse than American's being brainwashed by Bush.

- Iran is no Iraq? What do you mean? They are tougher? More resilient? We'll see.

I am very against this regime making bombs. those leaders are ******s that need their balls knawed off by crows.. but you speak as if certain countries should make them becuase they deserve the privilege of it.. which in the end.. only produces more potential mass death

Do a little research and you'll see how powerful they are. They wont let the Americans just walk in without a fight like what happend in Iraq. Many Iranians hate Americans and they will die for their country and their values.

Take a look this btw,it shows their millitary capabilities.

hey man, i didn't write the rules. nobody did at first. human nature set the rules in motion when Oppenhiemer had his epiphany. since then, we have learned that the best defence against a nuclear winter over one continent, is assured vaporization of the other continent. that is a blessing and has kept all of us alive for decades since Hiroshima.

you can't put this shit back in a bottle. i'm sure you know that. it is a matter of who you trust to keep more shit from spilling out. and maybe priviledge is the wrong word for a country's ability to anhialate millions of people in an instant. however, Iran does not need to even think it has that priviledge.

I think every country has people who will die for their nation and its values.

Um, dude, you sound like Saddam before the American invasion...

Allah is on our side. That is why we will beat the aggressor.
Saddam Hussein

We are not intimidated by the size of the armies, or the type of hardware the US has brought.
Saddam Hussein

YEAH, RIGHT!

Israel actually orginally acted against the interests of the US and used the Mossad to steal nuclear materials out of America without their consent.

Israel has actually manipulated and deceived America(and everybody) many times my friend, don't always assume they have worked together.

However, given the fact that Israel is surrounded by sworn enemies, it is to be expected that they use all methods at their disposal to survive.

You are right though, Israel shouldn't. But how is adding nuclear technology to more countries and potentially erupting an arms race the solution?

for a lot of reasons that cap eluded to in his post above.

ask yourself, if Israel had lived in peace since 1950 (i realize this may be a stretch for you, but humor me) all this time, do you think they would have them today?

it's a false question but Iran seems to always be behind the real answer. thats why they're Iran. and that's why Iraq and Afghanistan are the way they are now...less than what they will be, if my country has anything to do with it.

If you look you'd see that Iran is in the same situation. They are surrounded by American troops,so for them having nukes is a method of survival as well.

(p.s althouth there is no proof yet that they are making or developing nukes as of this moment.)

There is only one solution and that is every country that has nukes should get rid of them. Not just specific countries.

So basically it is all about Isreal.I mean it makes sense look at Iraq. They were a threat to Isreal and Americans came and saved their ass.Now Iran is the same Isreal fears them so America will once again come to the rescue and be the hero.
