The Wilde Years-Eric Banning (Biography on Frankie Wilde)

I saw It's All Gone Pete Tong about a month ago, and I absolutely LOVED it. I have been searching high and low for a book store that would carry The Wilde Years But I have yet to come across it. I have searched Amazon, Chapters, Barnes and Noble, even some UK online bookstores, and no one seems to have it. (When I search, nothing comes up) If anyone knows where I would be able to find it please let me know. I am DYING to read this book!!

it's a mockumentary... Frankie Wilde is not a real DJ

whereas Pete Tong was a real DJ in the 80's

Wow, was I fooled! I totally 100% thought it was a real person. When I heard about the movie, I was so excited to see it. Then I just started to search it on the internet, and came across those books, and everything else about "him". Well thanks for clarifying that up for me!

don't worry, you weren't the only one. basically all of American media was fooled into thinking he was a real DJ.

here's an interesting article/interview with Mike Dowse...

Haha, ya you didn't ruin anything. I feel like a complete moron, for thining it was a real person. There was just so much stuff about it on internet, and the movie was somewhat believable...

DJ RJT and myself laughed our asses off the first time we read that article... now it's kind of a running joke anytime we hear a Pete Tong set

"whoa Pete Tong? i heard he was a real DJ back in the 80's..."
