B^3 was at Boa two weeks ago.

If my memory services me - Dan was at Boa on Canada Day.

none on the regular basis
if there was one, i'd be living there

^ yeah, not on a regular basis but i'm sure there are some clubs with locals that spin that stuff. i mean you don't need a big name to satisfy the craving. for example, one night i was at Splash in Burlington (huge gino spot btw) and the dj there was spinning real funky bumpin house at one point, non-stop beats DJ DAN style

they play commercial stuff???

dmitri from paris was here some months ago but i think it was some "happening", full dress code and shit. one of my good friends was spinnin disco house ocasionally in one lounge but not anymore so that sucks.

funky - hmmmmmmm, my best guess would be the drink, manzone & strong kick ass with dirty/funky beats, check that out.


how much are tickets for howells/digweed?

What are you talking about? There are TONS of venues in Toronto! Just walk up and down Adelaide or Richmond and you'll hear at least 20 clubs playing some variety of electronic music. D'n'B is everywhere, breaks are there if you look around (Toronto has kick-ass residents), commercial house is on every block, for progressive and DDTT you have Boa and System every week... trance you can find too (I think Afterlife does that, and of course we can't forget the Guv). And we have guys like Carey starting up new things like WeDance on weeknights at totally different clubs. The only genre that's actually really hard to find in Toronto is techno, which is much more popular in Montreal but I believe is declining in popularity there too and giving way to house.

^^^ carey shud bring those djs to afterhours club.. sometiems is kinda annoyign to dress up (for peopel like me who hates dress codes) and also those regular club close early..

Very True!! Don't know where u guys live...but go anywhere on College... or the Club district and most the clubs play that kinda stuff (it's prob the most pop. form of EDM in the city)...also check out Church St. they def. play the music.. now, if it's not u're scene... that's another thing...but it doesn't mean no one plays it in the city. I despise Disco House... literally makes me puke...but that's just My Opinion(not asking anyone here to agree with this statement...or take offense to it.) But I guess I can Post in the Events Forum... of Party's that play that kinda stuff.

GUVERNMENT

Go to guvernment, but try the ACID LOUNGE.......George Williams plays there, very uplifting, funky house....he's GREAT honestly, nice cozy atmosphere, dancing room.....he's there every saturday.

CHECK HIM OUT....u wont regret it....
