Why would you say that? What's wrong with Somatic Sense?

Posted by Judgelex on Aug-13-2005 16:44:

Arney,

Its Ian^, who is George Kendall's friend, hes still a bit sour because his mate's label (Team Toad) got the shitty end of the deal on the Alucard - Blue On Blue release..............That being the reason for his bollocks post about Somatic Sense

Everyone on this board knows that Pascal and Somatic Sense are very well respected in the industry. Dont let this twat bother you.

Posted by 8Wonders on Aug-13-2005 16:52:

Well there's 2 sides to every story ... As for the track, you can expect a Mark Norman remix on the flip!

Posted by djgilla on Aug-13-2005 19:14:

Whats wrong with Somatic Sense? They are putting out some great records at the moment and there's plenty more coming very soon. New Sonicvibe, Armas, and others to be released have already have caused a stir. Its the only real label that is consistently keeping trance alive if you ask me. I don't know if anyone on here is buying records or just leeching. Its not easy to find quality trance releases anymore. Currently these tracks, Kenny Hayes - Ibiza Sky, Volition - The Spell to name a few are being spun by all the top jocks. Lets try to keep our opinions more on the music and not personal.

Posted by djkyo on Aug-14-2005 05:12:

Totally agree with Gilla, Somatic Sense has grown alot on the past year, alot of big names spinning there somatic tracks and its the only label that sticks to real trance, had you heard armada lately? they expirement to much and honestly it all starting to sound the same, everyone copying Probspot sound and they get sign with armada, had you even heard new Somatic Ibiza Sky, mike shiver and alex morph did an excellent job, and thats what people want to hear....

I have to disagree with you there.

J00F is undoubtedly the number one label, Above the Sky have had some good stuff, Fenology have been up there, Discover, infact many more than this imho

Posted by MichaelBoogerd! on Aug-14-2005 13:12:

Is there any confirmation on that flip being Mark Norman Remix?

Seems unlikely if its released on Somatic IMO.

JOOF #1 label, please dont make me laugh, you should check the charts more often, and you should travel around mre often too and check record stores in diferent coutries and you will see what i mean, dont get me wrong Felogny and Discover are awesome labels with great releases, but better then Somatic Sense highly doubt it, record shops and charts dont lie so get your fact rights and quit hating on Somatic Sense.....

Posted by UWM on Aug-15-2005 03:41:

after hearing this i'm getting the impression that they were trying too hard to mimic randy katana's txitxarro mix of In Silence.

so you basically mean biggest selling?

would doubt that too since Mr 8 Wonders is always moaning about how few units they shift & that trance is dying because of it etc

they've had a few releases i've really liked... midor & six4eight's cloud city/7th heaven, george hales' autumn falls, tom porcell - final cut... but overall i woudn't rate most of their music as outstanding. saying they're the 'only label who stick to real trance' is definitely bs though

Posted by isoterra on Aug-15-2005 03:59:

also if anyone has a sample of this tune then i'd be interested? i liked the txitxarro mix of in silence as well as alot of stuff tiesto has been playing recently, so sounds like it might appeal to me

Now you are putting words into my mouth ...

Chart placing has nothing to do with the actual quality of music you are putting out. I am not gonna get into the what label is better discussion as its completely subjective. Support the labels who put out material you like, key word SUPPORT.

As for the material that we put out, a lot of is accepted, a lot of is not. You can't predict what track will be successful. Pascal releases tracks that he likes and thus the label is a direct representation of what kind of trance appeals to him the most.

As for my comments about # of units being sold. There's a big decline throughout the industry, it was NOT indicative of how much Somatic Sense sells, infact, Somatic is up at the top in terms of sales.

I hate how people can't focus on the music and drag every conversation into the gutter. If you don't like the track, then please don't comment on it, it is really that simple.

P.S. Mark Norman will be on the flip.

smileys normally indicate nonserious tongue-in-cheek remarks, learn to acknowledge them instead of jumping on that high horse every time.

as for the rest of the post i honestly have no idea what you're getting at, at no point did i (not anyone infact) dispute any of that.
