Ferry Corsten - Sublime (Yarune Remix) - 320 full

Hi!

I once found that Sublime lead sound in the Pro-53 so I thought let's do this. Not too much time put in it, it could use some edits and stuff, and maybe I just give that extra attention it needs but first I want your opinion if it's worth it

In other words.. this might as well be finished, and here for you to rape/play/praise/criticise/whatever.

Anyways, enjoy!

Going into the collection .. nice work.
Some others may have ideas how to make it better.

Review while listening:

- Nice intro, cool percs and fx
- Don't like the bass sound on 42 sec, meaby try to make it "thicker"?
- Cool lead plute (fluit), you found it in pro53, is it a preset? It's cool anyway.
- Don't like the strings in the break personally
- I like the climax

I like your arrangment. To make it better you could try to make some element thicker (bass and strings).
Good job!

Actually I dont like "Ferry Corsten - Sublime" in the original version.
Just not hitting my taste of music.

But - as allways - Yarune hits my taste!
Very nice remix and lightyears better than the original.

I enjoyed the kick in this tune pretty much.

Thanks for the full track Jay, much better than the original I think!

Wim

Thanks djjeesh, DjMorpheus, Rock and Wim for reviewing.

Better than original.. did some good work then! lol

And yes, it's almost a preset. You can find the sound in the pro-53 called "Noise Decay" (If you have the same presets as I have).

My fault, I added a link but I changed the original too, but link's alright again

The faster link is taking a bit long, because of the stupid mirror system it has.. Anyways, you can download it now.

so it's a pro 53 lead? heh, interesting.

anyway, about the track. Kick should be a bit thicker, sounds somewhat empty (not enough warmth). Lots of synths going on but nothing really stands out as the lead. I understand that the pro 53 thrillseekers synth should be the lead, but the problem is that it doesn't sound fully un-filtered. Even after the climax, you can't hear the highs and the 'hiss' of the lead, making me crave more from it! EQ it up, unfilter all the way, and it should fill up the track nicely. Other than, good take on the original!

Stan.

I like it, it's a different flavor than the original and it's still pretty trancey

You don't mind if I put it in a mix do ya?

Yep, totally agree, Stan. But the filter on the synth is totally open so I need to give it more res and do some eq-ing. I'll look at the kick too, maybe less concentration on the mid high. Btw, nice release you have at somatic, loving the melodies coming from that vinyl!

Be my guest BshidoHEAT!

Thanks guys!

Nice track mate. Can't find nothing wrong with it, weel maybe the structure could be better but that's up to the producer/remixer.

Thanks for sharing.

No complaints here. Geat remix

Great remix

Posted by djHollen on Aug-15-2005 02:25:

I have to say that I was kinda lost during the break; it just went on a tad too long for my tastes. But as a whole, great remix to an already great track. You were able to capture some of the essence of the original and added your own flavor. I like it. I think the bass was a good choice. Ive been loving traditional basslines like that recently.
Nice work.

Thanks a lot people, for the words!

I updated the track, did some changes. DJs may want to get another grab (the faster server should be up too).

Cheers!

I really like this track, better than the original IMO, I'm not the best producer (understatement of the year ) so can't give much advice, but I'll surely be spinning it once I get my CD decks! One thing that did surprise me was how short the outro for the track was, didn't really notice the track was ending until the pads cut out about 15 seconds (i think) before the end. But that's probably just me, a personal thing .

Cheers!

EDIT: With the new version, I must say that I preferred the arp that plays in the background louder as it was in the old version. Again, a personal thing.

i just downloaded the edit you did. it sounds much tighter and solid. i loved it. i will be keeping this one. again, great work.

Great stuff..

Posted by TOR on Aug-15-2005 18:58:

listening as we speak..

nice kick, cool effects.. the bassline is rather deep and a tad too upfront.
whoa, awesome build at 02:00. should sound great on a big system.
the lead is good, albeit a bit quiet..
as said before, the breakdown lasts too long.. it's rather empty as well
main part sounds great.

ooh, the outro is way too short

very nice work overall
