Logitech Z-5500 5.1. Enough said.

You buy Creative audio equipment... you lose. Logitech or die, plz.

You will be disappointed with anything you buy if you listen to the 5500s after making the purchase, to be honest. I think Best Buy carries them. I would buy a set myself, but my double Z-5300 setup was expensive and I like having ten speakers and two subs.

buy some Teufel Concept G 7.1 THX speakers...i had the creative megaworks before (they fucking broke and i'd have to pay shitloads of shipping to get them fixed, fuck creative) and they get blown away by them and i have the Logitech Z-5500s in germany (bought them before buying the teufel speakers) and they also get blown away....

get two of those and you will have the clearest sound preformance i've heard from monitor speakers for that price. and actually i think they are even better than most others ive heard

why not have loud monitor speakers for your PC?

Posted by BTG on Aug-13-2005 20:12:

no sub. i only use reason 3.0 anyways, i dont need to worry about accuracy, i just need loud bass and clear "tss"

i'd look at advent av570's. They have a 1'' subwoofer but you should checkem out anyway cause they're awesome.

i don't know if the deal is still around (about 1 week since i saw it) but a class-A logitech 5.1 system for 69.99 at Walmart

i woulda bought it but i had already gotten a creative set and the only way to return it would be to make a 50 mile drive to the place i bought it from

What'd you buy? The 2300s? Please tell me you didn't buy those overpriced piece of shit Klipsch speakers.

Posted by BTG on Aug-14-2005 08:34:

5300s, they were cheaper than the 2300s cause they were on sale...i didn't want 5.1, but fuck it.

Awesome. Excellent choice. I love my 2x5300 setup.

And you do know that you don't have to run 5.1, right? There's a switch on the sub that lets you run 2.1, 4.1, or 5.1.

Posted by BTG on Aug-14-2005 19:53:

but i might aswell use it, i like the idea of having a center speaker
