Guvernment

So it's stated that Guvernment is one of the "7 wonders of the entertainment world", and i was wondering based on what?.. supposedly i hear that Guv is #4 on the list, but when i type it in google it doesnt even exist, or anything close to it lol... I'd like to know what other clubs are on it, who's number 1?, etc. Does anyone have more info about this?

i believe they mean seven (not seventh).

seven meaning the 7 rooms they have. the guv, koolhaus, patio, the drink, d'luxe lounge, etc.

There's more than 7 rooms

Guv, Koolhaus, Acid Lounge, Drink, Orange Room, D'luxe, Skybar, Charlie's and Tanja...and the patio if you wanna count it

Granted Charlie's and Tanja are private rooms you would rent out though...

When my friend was down in Cuba she met some people from England and they asked her if she goes to Guv.. They were like "Did you know it is one of the seven wonders of the entertainment world? It's number 4!". They said a lot of people from England wanna go to Guv, so yeah lol.. thought one of u might know something

Its nice to hear that people have heard of Toronto's "super club". But bottom line what you say sounds like a marketing thang nothing more. I'm sure there are plently of clubs across the world that give the guv a run for the money. I'm just glad that it can be breathed in the same sentence as the Pacha's, Privledges, Spaces and so on in the same sentence.

PS.. its 4am saturday night... Boo-urns. I wish I was there right now.

Guv is a world famous club and many people from around the world have herd of it. Ans try checking your spelling or something cause when I typed GUVERNMENT into goole the first thing that came up was the website. Some times we forget that we have one of the better party scenes that any city can offer. The amazing tallent that this city has to offer along with great venues and promotions puts Toronto on the party map.....................

People everywhere know about Guvernment. Considering they hardly do anything on a world scale for promotion (such as mixmag ads etc) its quite a feat. Most of the hype surrounding MOS, GodsKitchen and other english venues that are known around the world is due to their agressive international marketing efforts. Guv did it without all that.

I'm not saying that Guv is one of the best clubs in the world, in fact I could write an essay on the things that bug be about it, but why make a comment about how outclassed it is when you can't make a comparrison based on your own experiences?

No matter what you may think of the crowd at The Guvernment, it is undeniably one of the best looking clubs in the world (design and decor). Just ask anyone from out of town who visits. They are always amazed. We just take it for granted.

exactly... and the crowd is not just a guv problem. Its a toronto problem. There are only a select few in this city who are actual partiers.

I wish we could put a foreign crowd in a club like guv or republik. THAT WOULD BE INSANE!!!

Guv certainly has it's problems, and they are not to be taken lightly, but after experiencing the "superclubs" in the USA I realized that we've got a pretty damn good thing going here. I haven't been clubbing in Europe so I don't have a basis of comparison there.

Of course, I'd rather hit up Boa any day, but I guess it's apples and oranges there... different music, different crowd, different goals.
