Kontakt 2 on Win2000

I bought Battery awhile back, and love it. So now I'm looking into getting Kontakt 2, but the minimum requirment is a WinXp system. It says the same for Battery, but I bought that w/o looking at the requirements, and it works fine on Win2000. Will Kontakt work on Win2000?

u should kontakt Native Instruments and ask them if it'll work.
