new soundblaster card

I just learned that SoundBlaster will release a new card called "X-FI" shortly. It has some impressive features and something called crustalizer to convert tracks to higher resolution 24bit/96khz , yet I can't find any actual specs or hands on experience. Supposedly the high end "elite pro" card is for music creation but I want to know what does it have and how does it compare to others?

As far as I know, it's not targeted on high-end users only. It's the replacement for the Audigy series. There will most likely be budget versions of this card.
And another thing. If you have a wav file in 16bit/48kHz, you can't just make it 24bit/96bit. :-P
It can play songs in that high-qual. format, but you say it can "convert trakcs to higher resolution", that's impossible.
An artist can with a good seqencer render tracks to that quality, and listen to them. But, what's the point when most users have 16bit/44kHz?

There are 4 versions but only the highest priced at 400$ is meant for music creation. Here is something about crystalizer that upscales a cd resolution

Seems kind of pointless, seeing as how they already have a stake in a production card (Emu 1010). They ought to be developing a higher-end product, not a lower-cost one.
