Collaboration...

Ok,

Im from Rochdale nr Manchester, ive been producing for the last 12 months and im self taught (thats the reason for this post!)
Im looking fo someone to help / collaborate with me on a track im working on. Because im all self taught ive hit a brick wall with this track.
The idea, arrangement, etc are fine, but im stuck with the percussion, fx, atmosphere to give it that 'pro' sound and get the track flowing correctly.
Also im not happy with the bass and the pads could do with some work - other than that this track has HUGE potential IMO.

I use Cubase SX2 so ideally I want someone who also uses this sequencer as its the only one I know how to use!

Never done a collab before but hope one of you UKTA's can help - Ive already asked a few people by PM but no positive response as yet.

If you are interested drop me a PM and ill send you the link to the track and how have i have got it soundnig so far so you have an idea.

Thanks guys,

The Messiah Project.

This might sound lame but dont really want to post the sample incase the idea is pinched!!!

Like I said if anyone is interested they can PM me,

no offence but yes that does sound "lame". Producers on the internet seem to be so worried about that these days but to be fair theres only been about 3 occurances that i can think of where an amateur producer has actually been fucked over and that was purely from posting a full 192kb/s of a very signable tune. A sample or something is useless to others and people should stop being so protective of it. I mean wot are we all making music for??? to keep to ourselves or to share with other people

post a 32kbp sample, nobody is gonna be able to make a playable fake from that, if it is indeed so godlike

ok ok point taken!!

Its not that my track is 'godlike' - far from it - thats why i want to work with someone to improve it!!

I was more worried that the 'idea' would be pinched because there are FAR better producers on here that could do a better job than i have!!

ok - ill bite the bullet if its the only way to get some help!

Its a remix of Coldplays 'Talk'

let me know what you think and if any of you are interested...

COLDPLAY - TALK (TO THE MESSIAH)

i was going to check it out but im quite literally getting 56 modem download speeds off the host its sat on .. :/

Its on Sitesled which is normally very good, but noticed its running slow myself...please percevere!!

Posted by Coup on Aug-16-2005 19:42:

i was hovering around 12kb/sec. thats enough for 4mb.

50kb/s for me. But I don't like this at all. I think a lot of tracks on the X&Y album have good potential for remixes, but Talk isn't one of them.

What I really wish for is a nice tasteful remix of In My Place, probably my favourite Coldplay production.
