oh man i'm so stupid

i was runing late today, so i didn't wana bother going to work so i was going to call in sick. fuck, i called in sick last week..so what to do?

say i have a family emergency. i wasn't expecting to have to talk to somone cause it usually goes to the machine..but this time it didn't. and when he asked 'whats the emergency' i could have easily said 'i prefer not to say' but instead, i said my cousin fell down the stairs'

silly btg. crack underpressure.

Falling down the stairs is a very good and legit excuse. For example, one of our co-workers recently fell down the stairs at his home. He was an in his 30's or so, he was hospitalized afterwards and died in the hospital 2 days ago.

I disagree BTG. I think it's a great response. Your boss is probably thinking "Cousin fell down the stairs? WTF? Welp, that's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I'm sure if he was lying he'd come up with a better excuse than that. Hope his cousin's ok."

I commend your on-the-spot excuse.

my friend told his boss his mom was dying of cancer and he was in the hospital with her when he was standing with me, hammered, 100 miles away, and wasnt going to come in because of that. (it was 10am, and yes, we were hammered at 10am because it was a star trek marathon)
