No too much. He's not doing the weekly parties any longer. He just did the Underwear Theme party 2 weeks ago at SPIRIT. He's having a classics party at ROXY on Labor Day Weekend.

I've been to 3 theme parties @ cracktory, first off, in every corner of the main dance floor, you could literally step on countless jars (probably empty) and then the experience that made me never go back was leaving at 10am seeing some guy laying outside on the floor all G'd up spazzing out...sorry don't think i'd go back to a JP party after that. But I DO have to admit that the girls take it off at that party, and yea it gets dirty there

that's because you need 20 kilos in your system to enjoy his music

yeah sure...u know what your talking about
first of all peters is a dj's dj...that mofo spins 24 hours sets and spans most forms of EDM music.....he could play crappy KTU stuff to hard techno
although i have not heard him in many years and can't say anything for now
Posted by BeURSeLF on Aug-21-2005 15:49:
He also has pimp and ho party on labor day in vegas.

After working at SF for years while he was there, i think i have a pretty good idea what i'm saying. If YOU really knew anything, you'd know that its only on certain nights that he pounds out hard beats, while the rest is progressive as fuck for his fellow druggies.
Snorting lines off his vinyl to continue a marathon doesn't make you a "dj's dj". It's the ones that marathon for the love of the music.
He played the same shit all the time during those crazy marathons, those anthems that make the juiced up guidos go crazy.
anywho, i do admit when he drops those hard beats on those certain nights, its hard not to dance.. Seems to be doing it more frequently when he goes down the shore, and not at a NYC club.

You might not like him, along with other people, but you cant deny the fact that every week people came by the boat loads to get crunked to him.
Tenaglia is most likely the most infamous DJ to come out of NYC, being that hes been in the scene since the 70's.

How does that change the fact that he drew big crowds?

regardless of what kinda crowd he pulls or what drugs he and the crowd does is besides the point.
He has held a massive residency and deserves some respect...
He spins with more creativity and energy then Armin, tiesto or any of the other record players that are supposedly the best in the world...what a joke!

THIS I have to disagree with. Im sorry, but looping a track for 20-30 mins doesnt create energy nor does it make you creative.

yeah your right i have heard tracks on for like 45 mins...thats not what i'm talking about....he knows how to program....he knows how to "build" a set which tiesto and armin have no clue what that even is.
PVD used too.
he knows how to pop the room at the right times.....he just doesn't come in and play the top tracks with no direction whatsover....

Personally, Im not a fan of Armin or Ferry... atleast Armin as of late has really been banging it out (I think he let Paul borrow all his fluff records) - Ferry's style is too bland for my taste, all the tracks he plays sound the same to me.
As for Paul, I think hes having an identity/genre crisis. It seems like he's really feeling the house lately, but doesnt want to betray his trance roots - and his Summerstage set really showed it because of how back and forth his sets were.
As for Tiesto, listen to his latest Cream @ Amnesia sets (the 2005 and the Essential Mix), I think they are really good. The sets build very nicely, and it seems like hes playing less fluff.
