Sneaker Pimp Track and Field anyone??

Hey boys and girls.
I'm interested in knowing if any of you have ever ran or are currently participating in track and field.
I am a half miler.
I love track. The feeling of competing not only against an opponent but also against yourself. You gotta push yourself beyond the limits. It such a rush when you finish a great race. Its a feeling of euphoria (kinda like tiesto's track ).

stfu you idiot

he won 4 times in a row the world championships in 1500m race

he has the world record of the 1500m race (indoor/outdoore), the mile, and other crap like that

gold medal in athens in 1500m race
gold medal in athens in 5000m race

i think he meant to say ridiculous as in good.

like if i say he's sick, i mean that in a good way

in high school i ran 400, 600, and 800 meters

53.6 out of blocks in 400 on a relay (official time of 54.9 junior year)
1:28.1 in 600 meters
i think something around 2:08 officially in the 800. i hated the 800

crazy, i actually liked cross country more than track...

18:36 best time in 5k

dont worry fastmp3, i was saying how sick (as in good) he is. i think i shouldve said RIDICULOUSLY amazing. i know i saw him run at the olympics. i wasnt there but i watched it.

i ran 1:55 for the 800 open and on relay. i had 154 (maybe even 153) in the bag for the 4x8 relay. just never got there.
i never really ran anything less than an 8 except the 4x4 relay. i ran 51 low. thats about as fast as i can go.

you sound like youre more of a cross guy anyway trunks. 1836 is a good time for 5k.
i ran cross in high school... didnt really like it too much.

nah, in high school i ran 1:58, 1:57. i ran 1:55 in college so theyre mediocre. i was running against guys who would run 1:53 and 1:51. but i was happy with my achievements.

those are some awesome times ..

i am doing some track running on my own currently .. been off track with my schedule as of late, because being busy and everything, but i am now finished what i am working on, and going to go back on running schedule ..

yeah i now this sucks .. but 1:05 in the 400 .. .. but im working on it ..

my goal is 6 minute miles, so i have a long way to go ..

Posted by djHollen on Aug-18-2005 05:16:

hey, dont be embarassed. youre out there getting it done. i got respect for anyone who does that rather than nothing at all. people may laugh at the guy on the side of the road whos running but hes better off than the dude who sits on his ass all day. my team had sorta a motto in college, "want some, get some". its simple and that easy.... all you gotta do is make a choice. but i dont mean for this to be a self-help thread. so back to beer, chips, and sports! hurrah!!

....okay i guess we couldve done without the hurrah.
