Jared Borgetti becomes Mexico's top goal scorer

... tonight. All he needs is one more goal. Right now he has 35 goals with the national team. Hopefully he will score against Costa Rica so this thread won't go to waste.

Is that US player closing his eyes? Scared of a ball, poor guy.

he's an old fart now, is he playing good at bolton ?

Posted by sensorium on Aug-18-2005 02:54:

Haven't seen him play at Bolton yet.

So he scored. We have a new top scorer! And Mexico beats Costa Rica 2-0 and US beats T&T 1-0.

who was the top scorer before? Hugo Sanchez?
U.S only won 1-0 (shoudve been 2-0), but whatever at least they won.

Carlos Hermosillo with 35. I think Luis Hernandez also had 35, not 100% sure though.

And yes, the US game should've ended 2-0. But it was a bad call made by the linesman.

if 31 is 'old fart' then what do u call your mother taha

We sent him on a 1 month vacation, to do these internationals and rest, he's played 70 games in thel ast year and we think that a months rest will help him refresh and then be able to focus on playing for us

Must you always flame my awesome threads?

He was paraded at the Reebok Stadium today with Hidetoshi Nakata. The sooner he's in a white shirt now the better as everton scabbed 3 points with a game of sit back for 90 minutes & tap one in from 3 yards (their only effort of the match) typical luck of them

Damn, I was supposed to see that game. Totally forgot about it.

didn't miss a lot. Everton decided to play with 11 men, 2 rabbits and phil neville's pet iguana behind the ball. Made it hard for us to break down, we had 3 good headers just over, 2 shots from Nolan about 6 inches too high & Diouf nearly snapped the goal frame in 2 with a thundering drive that nigel martyn somehow turned onto the bar. That aside im gutted we got nowt from the game as they really didn't offer anythign at all, just the 1 attack whewre cahill shot but dragged it across the face of the 6 yard box where Bent tapped in. Typical of how everton played last season too tbh.

Glad I didn't watch that.

I'm a diehard bolton fan, but it was awful. You just want a game where both teams go for it. sure it doesnt have ot have the best t alents out there, but if they actually try to win the game rather than not lose it, i'd have a lot more respect.

scored his first goal in his 3rd appearance as sub last nite in the UEFA cup with a good instinctive finish Hopefully he'll be able to adjust to the pace of the premiership & soon be a starting player

It seemed like an offside when I saw a report. But it was a hard call.

Good for him that he scored. Nice finish!

I first thought he had scored with his head!
