-- Leonardo Da Vinci was smarter than Albert Einstein.

Leonardo Da Vinci was smarter than Albert Einstein.
I've been reading up on Da Vinci a lot lately because I've been making my way through Dan Brown's books. (Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, etc.) I have come to the conclusion that Leonardo Da Vinci is likely the most intelligent human being that has ever lived. If you get the chance, check out his estimates about our solar system. His deductions are on par with what NASA has discovered using the most advanced telescopic technology available... and Da Vinci did it in the 1600s.
Absolutely. When I read Brown's books, I did the same thing, looking into all the amazing stuff that Da Vinci was involved in. It's crazy in how many fields he "dabbled" in.
One smart mengg.
I wouldn't be so bold to say he was smarter than Einstein. Da Vinci was definitly the epitome of a Renaissance Man, but I think you can't fairly compare the achievements of him and Einstein and say one is smarter than the other.

Don't be too enamored of Dan Brown's books. Many of his innuendos about Da Vinci, and in particlular many of the claims of the Davinci Code have been proven to be historically inaccurate or blatant falsehoods. Not to dismiss the fact that Da Vinci was an intellectual legend.

Newton wins
that's why dan brown writes in the beginning of the book that only a few things in his story are factual... such speculation
read the damn "facts" before the first page!
Fair comparison.
Einstiens inventions and theory's all proven the the point of common knowledge (basically)
Da Vinci.....The list of things he still has people stumped on is longer than I personally could fathom and even the spiritual dogma connected to him puts Da Vinci far higher in the respect ladder than Einstien.

Well i'm smarter than Leonardo Da Vinci and Albert Einstein put together! How do you like that?!
physicas and the sciences are all good and dandy but Da Vinci's theory's, poems blue-prints and such still have people baffled. His predictions of astrology and the cleverness in his puzzles still entertain and encourage debate today. Where as Einstein....E=MC2...Everybody who has watched Animaniacs knows that. Where as Da Vinci...as tweeked as he was, still has so much mystery shrouded around him that you can't exactly discredit his brilliance...or he was just mad...*shrug* Insanity even brings out some amazing feats of knowledge that has shed light on everything from philossophy to the sciences.

I was using the E=MC2 thing as a base reference. I'm at work right now and bored out of my head and just thought I'd add my bits. Anyway, I still stand by my opinion that Da Vinci was the more intelligent of the two...Nope no facts to back it up but I've done my bit of reading.
I've read and seen shows of Da Vinci's life and he's one smart fella alright. I prefer not to dabble on who's smarter since that's not fully measureable imo.

hmmmm.. i'm gonna have to put my money on Da Vinci. His work just seemed more revolutionary and ahead of his time. I mean, it's easier to be a genius in todays society (with so many other geniuses to feed off) while back in the day there werent too many intellectuals around.
Plus, I think a lot of the ancient Greek mathematicians and philosophers were on par or even smarter than DaVinci and Einstein. I'm talking about guys like Archimedes, Aristotle, Pythagoras etc
none the less.. the shit all these guys have done in their lives is fukn amazing. I only wish I could be a quarter as smart as these guys.

Einstein's moustache was bigger than Da Vinci's. Therefore, he wins.
No the smartest person who has ever lived is Stephan Hawking. That guy talks with a compputer.
maybe he was the most intelligent.
but about the book
* > The Da Vinci Code
that book is so pop.
