Review: WED.AUG.17 - AfterLife - NuEra, DJ Addy, MarkOliver
Again...I beat everyone to it. 
Oh yeah! but I left early. 
Well what can I say... first off... a few of us TA's were a bit annoyed at the fact that they wouldn't let any of us into the club for over 1hr because apparently the bar staff were getting things ready. So we missed a better part of Andrew's set. 
But once we got in.. Dr3w was getting things done proper.. the club starting getting busy around the 12am mark and Dr3w changed it up a bit with some Tech and Hard Prog which seemed to get the people movin & groovin. Looked like it was gonna be a great night ... unfortunately I have to wake up the next day @ 5am 
so I had to cut the night short. Since I wasn't there long... I'll leave it up to the rest of the TA's who stayed to fill u in. I'm absolutely horrible with names so I won't even attempt to remember who I saw and met... but regardless, it was a pleasure jammin with u all. 
P.S. surprise of the night..(for me) was seeing Desidel(Emery) pop in. 
great seeing u bud... it's been quite a while. We'll hook up soon to check out those jams u mentioned.
P.S.S. Great job Andrew... def. worth the loss of sleep. 
Got downtowm fairly early and ended up wandering the streets for a bit. While walking around, I ran into Tyler (TranceGrooves). We tried to find some place to eat that somebody recommended to him, but it didn't appear to be where we thought it would be and ended up settling for pizza LOL.
Got to Afterlife around 10:15ish (they were still closed). Didn't take long for a bunch of other TAs to start showing up right at that moment...Cam, Laura, Karim with his buddy Owen, Keith, Stilez.
By 10:35 or so we decided that we needed a drink and went to another room upstairs, before finally going to see Andrew's set at around 11.
Didn't take too long for Dan, Karen, Sean and Emery to show up and the party was under way.
For awhile it was just us dancing away, under the watchful eye of the bouncers LOL. Andrew's set was great, with a number of awesome tunes being played. Emery and I left at 1am to check out Republik. Stayed there 'till around 2:20am before heading back home (work starts at 7am).
Great set Andrew!!! The streak of missing you everytime you spin is over, and I'm glad I picked last night to see you in action. You even had yourself a few cute groupies...Laura actually went and took their picture for ya
Got there at 10am with Andrew, Kevin, and Dan.....apparently it was a good thing too as the others weren't allowed in til 11. Good to see so many familiar faces last night, and nice to meet a few new ones 
I wasn't sure what to expect on a Wednesday, but the club seemed to be starting to fill up as I was leaving.
Left around 12:30 just as Andrew was finishing up as I had to get up at 6:30 to get ready for work....damn work always in the way

Good night, great music Definately worth loss of sleep and trip all the way to downtown on a Wednesday night

fackin wicked time! I was tired as hell though, had no energy really, but I still tryed to dance my ass off to the beats! Awesome as always andrew! Thanks for the ride to and back! sik music!

Met Max, Tyler, laura, Karim and his buddy (Owen i think) outside Afterlife at around 10:15. They told us they wouldnt let us in until the bartender got ready. Then we see the bartender show up with Timmies in her hand. At that point we knew we'd be waiting a while...
So we went up stairs to the "Irish party" LOL. It was terrible! I dont even know why they had a DJ! I could have hit 'play' on a CD player and done the same job LOL After drinking a very fast beer we tried out luck downstairs again. Success!!
So we get in and spot Karen, Dan and a few others...it was easy to find them cause they were the only ones in there 
Andrew, all I have to say is 'thank you' I really needed that work out dude! I'm sore as hell today!!
After Andrew, Addy came on and continued the ass-kicking.
Karim it was good to finally hang out with you dude. You're a good guy. Damn tall too!
Sean, it's always a pleasure to see you. We kept the streak alive bro!
Dan its always great dancing like no ones looking with you. Give that floor a beating!
Karen, shame you had to leave so early. Thanks so much for making fun of my 'chicken dancing' LOL
Laura the camera girl. Thanks for taking all those wacky pics of me. You'll have blackmail till doomsday.
Tyler I didnt see you much once we got in the place. But it was cool hangin out in the front chattin and all. No more Irish parties.
Great time guys. Everyone whos going to Nada's or to New York, have a great time! I'll be working all weekend

If only the staff would actually let people into their own establishment on time, eh! And yes, one is a shot of Andrew's groupies hehe.
Although we only stayed for a little bit, I enjoyed myself. Great set

to make a long story short... the bartender ripped me off and was too proud and/or insecure to own up to it. she swore at me, called me names and then tattled on me to the bouncer
then keith got the bouncer to let me back in... which was fine.. until he escorted me over to the bitchy bartender and asked for me to apologize! haha the nerve...
im sorry, but im not going to apologize for being ripped off, sworn at and treated like shit. she threw a hissy fit and wanted me gone, so i told the bouncer i would happily leave and that i would never spend money at an establishment that cheats their patrons and treats them with no respect.
it's a shame, because i'll never go back there. and by the looks of it they can't exactly afford to be kicking anyone out!
in the end i had a great time though... the drama was somewhat fun. i was happy with how maturely & calmly i handled the situation. she made herself look like a crazy insecure person, pretty embarrasing if you ask me! i'd like to see how they treat unruly drunks if this is how they treat sober reasonable people! hah.
Princess Bartenders.............. a Toronto phenomenon....
What do u expect when you hire bartenders that look like strippers and pay them $200 an hour.....
Thanks to everyone for coming out last night. You guys all rock, the level of support was uncanny! It really means a lot to look up from playing and see a big group of TAs right up front dancing it up. I thought it was going to be quite the challenge to get people to come out on a Wednesday, but you all certainly proved me wrong. Thanks again!
