I've had them for 11 hours. Why won't they go away!

I know the cure for hiccups, I found it online and its worked like a charm everytime. Exhale and drink a big glass of water and do not breathe in or out as your drink. You will begin to fell like you are going to drown in the water you are drinking then stop and take a breathe. The hiccups will be gone.
